Prize Patrol in Town!
On November 12th, the buzz began as we pulled up into the parking lot at Renaissance Floral. Patrons eating at the local diner were pointing, waving and coming out to take pictures of Len and me by the Prize Patrol van. They could not believe that the PCH Prize Patrol was in their town and a local resident was about to win a cash sweepstakes prize from Publishers Clearing House!!!
Off we went to the PCH winner’s house. We decided to pass by the house first to make sure we were ready to capture the winning moment. While pulling into the driveway, we got the Big Check, balloons and camera ready.
I walked up and knocked on the door. When the winner’s husband opened it I asked if Margaret was home. He said yes and called for his wife, “Peg, Publishers Clearing House is here!”
Margaret was in the middle of getting ready to go to the store. She came to the door with one shoe on. I went on to ask if she recognized us and told her we had a surprise for her. She just won $10,000 in the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes!! She was so excited!
We spent the next little while calling her family on the phone. One by one she called them and asked them to speak with me. I went on to surprise each family member with the news that Margaret just won $10,000 from Publishers Clearing House. Most of all, Margaret wanted me to speak with her grandson who was over just a couple of days before laughing at her because she entered the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. Now she gets the last laugh!!
Margaret’s husband shared his Air Force scrapbook with me and Margaret said she is going to make her own scrapbook now that she has something so exciting to include in her book. What a great PCH winning moment to such a sweet couple!
