Cash Sweepstakes Winners Week at PCH

What a week for PCH winners! Last week, 210 lucky people across the USA – with news of $1,000 cash sweepstakes prize checks from enter the Publishers Clearing House in hand – waited with baited breath to see which one of them would be the PCH winner of our newest Million Dollar SuperPrize on Thursday, February 25th.

In the meantime, on Wednesday, the PCH Prize Patrol had another prize to deliver: in Houston, Texas.

A Southwest Airlines flight got us there right on time, and an hour later we rendez-vous’ed with our official cameraman at a Houston florist where the big bouquet of roses was ready and waiting. The PCH balloons were inflated and within minutes we were off to surprise Terry Burns who lived nearby.

Well, our best laid plans got off to a rocky start. We found the house with no problem. (Thank you Garmin GPS!) But the doorbell went unanswered.

Larry, a friendly neighbor across the street, saw our Prize Patrol van, the balloons and flowers, and yelled: “Her car is there. I’m sure she’s in there. Did you knock hard?”

When I told him I had, he volunteered to phone her and let her know there was a delivery out front. Well, that worked: a minute later Terry came to the door, saw what was happening, and begged a couple of minutes “so I can get dressed!” Yes, it was after 10 AM – but it was unusually cold for Houston, and Terry’s bed and cuddly Pomeranian felt just too warm to leave.

When we presented Terry with a Big Check for $10,000.00 she was stunned. “I can’t believe this!” she cried. “After all these years, I finally won!” She couldn’t wait to phone her children, elsewhere in Texas, and tell them the great news.

From Houston, we flew to Miami to get ready for the PCH Million Dollar SuperPrize award on Thursday! You can read more about that in my previous PCH Blog story called “Miami Area Woman Announced as New Publishers Clearing House SuperPrize Winner” and in the About.com: Contests and Sweepstakes article entitled “Publishers Clearing House Announces their Newest Million-Dollar Winner!

.

Here’s hoping you’ll enter the PCH Sweepstakes for a chance to become a lucky cash sweepstakes PCH winner like Terry!

Good luck!

Hi LuKisha,
The PCHGames system does not recognize you as a U.S. citizen as you have not yet selected your country in your profile.
Please visit PCHGames and sign in to your account. From there click on the My Account tab then the Info tab.
There you can update your address information so that you can continue to redeem your tokens for the sweepstakes entries.

Dear Deborah Holland,
I have decided to keep on entering the sweepstakes, even though people have played many years, and haven’t won. After all their are millions of people out there that are doing the same as I am. It helps me to get my mind off of my horrible memories for a short while, and though I will not win, I can still hope. I am 72 years old now, and if I should win I hope it is before I go to heaven to be with my loved ones who I know are saving me a place to be with them.
As Always,
Elaine D.

    Hi Jesus,

The PCH Games sweepstakes are only available to U.S. residents in one of the fifty U.S. states.

Residents of countries other than the United States, including Puerto Rico, are welcome to play our games. However, you will not be able to enter our draws at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I’ve entered PCH since I was 18 years old. Via snail mail, online, through second and third party sites and STILL NOTHING. Not even a gift card, lol. I guess now I just enter as a compulsion. Just another ritual I do to keep me sane. Good Luck to all entering. I wish you all the best of luck

I have entered PCH sweepstakes for 55 years and I think it is time to give up.

Happy for those who have won, but I am wondering how long they have been loyal to PCH?
It seems like playing for a long time really isn’t a point to them.
Loyalty doesn’t mean so much to some companies.
Sorry Dave I was looking forward to meeting you.

    Hi Dorris,

Each entry received has an equal chance of winning and we never know who our next winner may be. Our winners are as varied as the faces you see in our famous television commercials coming from all walks of life, ages, ethnic backgrounds and regions. We have had winners who live in big cities, small towns, trailer parks, high rise apartments and even the Alaskan tundra.

    Regards,
    Addison @ PCH

    Hi Loretta,

Although we can’t guarantee that you will win the PCH Sweepstakes as the winner is selected by a random drawing, please keep in mind that every entry received has the same chance of winning, so keep trying!

To determine which draws you are entering, when their end dates are and what your odds of winning are, please review the “Sweepstakes Facts” pamphlet that came with your entry or click on the “Sweepstakes Facts” link on your online entry form.
And remember, a purchase is never necessary to enter or win the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes!

    Best of luck to you!
    Jodi @ PCH

You said on one of the above comments that you had to be a resident of the U.S. to win the PCH Sweepstakes. If that is true why are you sending sweepstake entrys to Canadian residents. I have been purchasing items some good, some not as good for 4 years and along with my purchase I am suppose to be eligible to win. But I see that the last time a Canadian won was in 1998. The things I keep I like, I would buy anyway but I would like to know if a Canadian will ever win again? Did the rules change? Thank you for your time. Anne

    Hi Anne,

You must be a United States resident to enter online and win instant prizes. Canadian residents can enter the sweepstakes through mail and through the phone and are eligible to win. PCH Sweepstakes winners are chosen at random, and each entry has the same chance of winning. You never know who will become the next BIG winner, so don’t lose hope!

Odds of 400 million to one are formidable and
make it harder to win. However, a US citizen
recently purchased ONE ticket and won 1/3 of
a $600 million dollar jackpot. Give up? NEVER!
