Common Publishers Clearing House FAQs Answered

A common FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions that I see on the Publishers Clearing House Facebook Fan Page is, “What if I’m not home when you arrive?”

Rest assured, the Prize Patrol will do everything that it can to find you!

When I won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes SuperPrize in 2008, it was a work day for me. I went to my place of employment like normal, not knowing that the Prize Patrol would be knocking on my door a few hours later. It was probably the best day I’ve ever had at work! A few days after the win, I was able to go to PCHTV.com to see what the PCH Prize Patrol did to track me down. After trying my home, they started searching for me online and found my former employer. Thank goodness for the internet. Even if they hadn’t been able to find me, my family was just a few doors down.

Something similar happened when I headed to Miami with the PCH Prize Patrol to pass along another SuperPrize in February. Luckily, our newest winner’s husband was home to take us to her. In March, the PCH Prize Patrol patiently waited for the St. Patrick’s Day winner to return home from visiting friends.

Another question I see is, “Will you ever visit my town?” or, “Why haven’t you ever delivered a prize to my state?”

As much as we’d all like to visit Hawaii, the drawings are random. Keep on entering!

The third question that came up, especially during a major prize event, “Why haven’t you announced the winner of the current contest?”

Unfortunately, sometimes a winning number was not submitted in time or at all. In some cases, an alternate winner will be picked, provided that number has been turned in on time. I was an alternate winner! My persistence in entering definitely paid off. Hopefully yours will as well.
