Free Sweepstakes From PCH Are Easy to Enter

In the movie “Parenthood” the Keanu Reeves character says “You need a license to catch a fish, but anyone can become a parent.” The ironic implication is that, in actuality, it takes careful preparation and loving dedication to successfully raise a child; but one can simply drop a fishing line in the water and pull up a whopper. Entering a free sweepstakes from Publishers Clearing House is even easier!

There’s a parallel thought that occurs to me – that is worth mentioning on this PCHBlog which is all about winning: You might need a special education, hard work and some connections to make a million dollars on Wall Street; but with luck anyone who enters the free sweepstakes from Publishers Clearing House has the chance to win a million dollars.

Now that’s what I’d call good news for the millions of folks out there who would surely welcome the arrival of the PCH Prize Patrol at their door and the delivery of roses, balloons, champagne and a Big Check! I can assure you, based on my decades of getting to know hundreds of wonderful sweepstakes winners, it takes no special experience or talent to win our SuperPrize.

But if you want to win there is one particular action that IS required: You MUST enter the Publishers Clearing House free sweepstakes. “If you’re not in it, you can’t win it” – it’s as simple as that.

Persistence helps too. Enter our sweepstakes often which is easy to do at pch.com.

And remember: besides huge cash prizes, there’s always something new at Publishers Clearing House’s growing network of websites. You can entertain yourself at PCHgames, win more prizes at PCHlotto, conduct an online search at PCHSearch&Win, see exciting PCH “winning moments” at pchtv.com, and find great deals on magazine subscriptions and merchandise at pch.com.

Enjoy, and good luck!

“If you’re not in it, you can’t win it” Then maybe you should change the rules for those of us who actually return our mailed entrys. If this statment is so true then why would you pick a non returned entry the last couple of draws for the 5k a week? I thought you were not even assigned a valid superprize number untill your entry was returned?????So how can they say those people won?????

    Hi Shawn,

All of Publishers Clearing House giveaways are conducted under the strict control of independent auditors and giveaway supervisors. Our winner selection methodologies are designed to be fair and unbiased.

There are two methods we use:

MATCHING WINNING NUMBER – Our independent auditors select a winning SuperPrize number at random. Publishers Clearing House does not know the winning number until giveaway end when the auditors reveal it to us. Throughout the life of the sweepstakes, Publishers Clearing House assigns SuperPrize numbers to outgoing Bulletins. Any one of the numbers assigned to you while the giveaway is going on could be the winning number.

RANDOM DRAWINGS – A two-step process is used for random drawings. Incoming entries are prequalified either manually, by specially trained contest judges using raffle cages, or electronically using a computer. Then, on drawing day, all qualified entries are sequentially numbered and a bingo cage is used to randomly pick the winner.

If a recipient who had the matching numbers for the main #1400 giveaway either did not turn it in on time, gave up or decided it wasn’t worth it, they could not claim a prize.

Giveaway 1400 has an official end date 2/29/12. What this means is that there must be a winner of this giveaway by this date. However, we can award this prize anytime before that date. This is stated in the sweepstakes facts every entrant receives.

Multiple times throughout the year we may advertise different dates for this giveaway. These are commonly referred to as “Sneak Peek”, “Early Look” or Advance Draws. What happens is we do a draw for a number and check to see if there has been an entry returned with that number. If there has been a matching winning entry, we award the prize and that giveaway ends right there. If there has been no winner, we carry the prize over to another date, sometimes offering a second chance draw prize among eligible entries. This can go on until we reach the official end date and at that time we guarantee that there will be a winner.

    Regards,
    Jodi @ PCH

    Hi Latoyia,

Our mailings are opportunities for a chance to win, and provide clear information that the recipient has not yet won any prize, must enter by the deadline, and must be chosen to win. In order to win an entry must be selected by random drawing or match the winning number selected. Please remember that while we receive entries from all across the land only one individual can actually win each giveaway.

Please be assured, if you are one of our lucky winners you will definitely be notified. If you are picked as a winner of a prize of $10,000 or more, you will be notified in person by the Prize Patrol. Prizes of under $10,000 are notified by certified mail or by courier. These awards are done as soon as all winning entries and prizes are matched. Our most recent winners can be found on the top of our web site on the scrolling bar and under the “Winners Circle” link. You may also view some of our winning moments at: http://www.pchtv.com.

While we have promoted our famous sweepstakes for over 40 years as a way to draw attention to our unbeatable magazine deals and value-based merchandise offerings no purchase is ever necessary to enter or win. You may be interested to know that majority of our major prize winners have not ordered with their winning entry!

    Regards,
    Jodi @ PCH

I sure do wish I could win, I’m about to lose my house and I’m disabled and living on social security. I’ve already been told they are filing foreclosure on me here in this Nov. 2010. I sure would like to be able to just pay off my land and home so they couldn’t mess with me any more. Wouldn’t that just be sweet? :) But of course I wish everyone else good luck too.
