Spring Cleaning Time

It’s time for spring cleaning.  Not just around the house, but time to clean out some fuzzy thinking that slows some people from entering the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes!

What a winter this has been!  These past few months have seen record cold temperatures and history-making snow accumulations in many areas of the country.   Thank heaven, springtime is on the way!

Spring cleaning helps freshen our homes much in the way Mother Earth is freshened with new life sprouting all around.

Over the years as head of the PCH Prize Patrol, I’ve come across far too many folks who say, “I’ll never win.  Why bother entering?”

That’s really fuzzy thinking that, in my opinion, needs a “spring cleaning.”  So I remind them, “If you don’t enter, you will lose for sure!”

I feel good when, right after our Prize Patrol presents roses, balloons and a Big Check and videotaped a winning moment, a neighbor or relative of the ecstatic winner steps forward and says, “I never believed those PCH TV commercials were real!  Now I believe it!  How do I enter the PCH Sweepstakes?”

I tell them how many ways there are to play and win at PCH online and how many prizes there are – ranging from a wallet-full of cash to giant jackpots you can win for life.  AND it’s so easy to enter the PCH sweepstakes these days:  Just go online to pch.com and click on the “BEGIN” button to get started.

Then I remind them that our rules allow you to enter our contest every day.  No wonder that more and more people are winning huge cash prizes with online sweepstakes entry at pch.com!

When it comes to winning, here’s hoping you really “clean up”!

Welcome to spring, and good luck!

i thought this was a free blogging page… what is going on/ DO WE NOT WANT PEOPLE TO READ AND BE EDUCATED ABOUT THE DOWNFALLS TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES… I recieved an email with the official rules in it which did not answer my quesTion at all seeing as to how I’ve already read all the rules… my question is what do you do when PUBLISHERS CLEARING HOUSE MAKES THE MIISTAKE… and it’s continously made?… to me once is a mistake, four and five times, now that is no mistake. A smart person would not put faith in something that IS SO unbeleivably sketchy… EXAMPL:I WOULD’VE MADE IT TO THE WINNERS SELECTION LIST IF I ENTERED THROUGH THAT SPECIFIC BULLETIN AND MADE IT BEFORE THE DEADLINE. I DID THE VERY SAME DAY. AND NEVER RECIEVED ANY NOTIFICATION OF ANYTHING… JUST NEW SWEEPSTAKES OPPURTUNITYS… ANOTHER ISSUE I’VE TRIED CHANGING MY ADDRESS WEEKS AGO AND FOR SOME REASON AFTER FOLLOWING ALL THE DIRECTIONS, I STILL RECIEVE EMAILS WITH MY OLD RURAL ADDRESS… WHY? WHEN I HAVE DONE PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING I WAS ASK TO DO

    Hi Amanda,

Please keep in mind that we still have to randomly draw a number to determine the winner.

There are two methods we use:

MATCHING WINNING NUMBER – Our independent auditors select a winning SuperPrize number at random. Publishers Clearing House does not know the winning number until giveaway end when the auditors reveal it to us. Throughout the life of the sweepstakes, Publishers Clearing House assigns SuperPrize numbers to outgoing Bulletins. Any one of the numbers assigned to you while the giveaway is going on could be the winning number.

RANDOM DRAWINGS – A two-step process is used for random drawings. Incoming entries are prequalified either manually, by specially trained contest judges using raffle cages, or electronically using a computer. Then, on drawing day, all qualified entries are sequentially numbered and a bingo cage is used to randomly pick the winner. Hope this helps!

Lloyd, There is no purchase or fee necessary to enter and win in the PCH Sweepstakes. It’s completely free. Every entry is another chance to win and you never know which one might be a lucky one. All entries have an equal chance of winning. Winners and winning numbers are selected at random. Good luck!

I have been entering the PCH sweepstakes for a long time as well. I get so excited for the ones who do win as I know that one day I may win. When I do, I will help some people that I know are struggling as well as help myself. I too get frustrated when I do not win however. one day it will happen. :) Be well all…
