The Luck of the Irish Delivered to St. Patrick’s Day Winner

Some believe the “luck of the Irish” comes from a shamrock, 4-leaf clover or pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. But last week, good fortune was delivered to our St. Patrick’s Day Winner from another source.

Some believe the “luck of the Irish” comes from a shamrock, 4-leaf clover or pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.  But last week, good fortune was delivered to our St. Patrick’s Day Winner from another source.

I don’t know if you experienced anything particularly lucky on St. Patrick’s Day, but I can tell you one thing for sure: whether she is Irish or not, our winner, Veronica Trombino could not have been more happily surprised than when the Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol showed up at the medical office where she works — with roses, balloons, champagne AND a Big Check – for $10,000.00!

St Patricks Day Winner

Veronica’s colleagues screamed when we burst on the scene to declare her the PCH St. Patrick’s Day Winner, and the mouths of people in the clinic’s waiting room fell wide open.  “You see this on TV, but I didn’t think these things really happened!” was the unanimous reaction.  Well, these “prize-witnesses” can assure you that the winning moments you see on TV are absolutely real.

Veronica herself gave us a HUGE reaction that is sure to wind up in our TV ads.  She also kept looking at me in a funny way – which she later explained.  “I’ve seen your face so many times on TV and in the PCH mailings,” she said.  “I just couldn’t believe I was seeing you in person!  It’s a strange feeling!”

I can’t remember any winner who expressed more gratitude; she must have said “Thank you – I really appreciate it” at least fifty times!  Like so many winners, Veronica could “really use” the money.  “You saw my driveway, right?” she said – referring to some needed paving repairs at her house where we had gone at first.   When we couldn’t find anyone home we tracked her down – to the medical practice where she is a nurse and the office manager.

As busy as this workplace was, everyone — the staff and the patients — welcomed our visit.  “Sorry for the disruption,” I told the head physician – who whisked away my concern with obvious delight in Veronica’s good fortune in becoming PCH’s St. Patrick’s Day Winner.  “She really deserves it!” chimed in her happy colleagues.

All the onlookers were happy to share in the “luck of the Irish” and they were encouraged to see that real people really win really big cash prizes in the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes.  “I’m gonna enter!” they said.  “What’s that website again?” they asked.

“It’s pch.com – where you can go and enter the PCH Sweepstakes every day!” Danielle and I told them.

You probably know that already.  And you probably don’t need to be reminded that you can win not only thousands of dollars like Veronica but MILLIONS!  You don’t need the “luck of the Irish,” you just need to ENTER!

So don’t delay.  Maybe you’ll be next!
