Hi my name is Lainey, I’m a 28yr old married mother of two autistic children (8yr old boy & 4yr old girl) and my 30yr old husband is also Disabled. And we would really like to 1st say “THANK YOU!” to PCH for an article on their web site about FAKE PCH EMAILS, which read “PCH does not send ANY emails that do not start with your (the consumer’s) full name.” And it’s because of that article that we as a Servilely Financial Struggling Family have not fallen prey to such EVIL HEARTLESS emails very much like the email my husband received this morning. Which I have copied and pasted below. We just wanted to Make sure PCH is aware of this particular individual who is falsely acting on behave of PCH.

PCH notified me both yesterday and today that I had won an IPAD. Turns out to be a fishing expedition to gather all of my personal information and share it with numerous companies. One of them just called me wanting to sell me auto insurance. Also, when I looked at the fine print, in order to win the IPAD I would have had to acquire two credit cards and talk/answer numerous sales presentations. Seems like a scam to me.

I really got to question the validity of these games. I’ve played for months now and havent won more than “tokens” I see “winners” in the columns next to play areas etc and none of them seem real. Then there is issues with websites freezing and my time and effort is lost through no fault of mine or my equipment.
Ive been playing for 6 months now and not even been thrown a $10 bone that I see “people” winning.
I think its a fraud and there should be something done about it.

The balls drawn in pch bingo matched my card last week but I never heard from pch. Also there seems some issue with scratch cards, I get three amounts matching since last three days and it declares me as a winner of the card and just asks me to continue, I didn’t hear from the team on that too. I don’t want to waste my time anymore on fake pch games anymore.

Why do I have to search online every day? Is it so you can sell advertisements telling people how many million people use your search engine? And how long is this contest it has been going on for months, daily emails to play this game with no results, who won and what, how do anyone know, it says check to see if you won, then takes you to another page of adds! I have been called by insurance agents and online schools/job placement people even though I am Very Careful to uncheck the would you like more information box! I thought you were a publishing company not a gatherer of personal information to be sold to the highest bidding advertiser!

They did not ask for anys money or anything, just that they wanted to confirm my address, asked for my age and occupation. Congratulated me on winning and that was the end of the conversation. I am unsure if this was a scam or legitimate.. I am going to be so sad if it was a scam! I was very excited until I thought a lot about it and then I started questioning the validity of the call… Please HELP!

I’m not a genius but I’m certainly no idiot. However; the contest are confusing AND time consuming. I get it, we are being forced to look at ads to enter – but there are so many games AND then you have to re-enter? confirm? Why do I get so many emails telling me I am “in violation”? When I take my time to play the games that play themselves why doesn’t it just enter me? Why do I have to do something else yet to get entered? Geez. I’ve only done this a few days and am being bombarded with emails like I have nothing else in the world to do. I’m unemployed and am still not able to keep up with this. I’m about to call it quits already!

My 87 year old, blind mother was called today from 718-312-0862 and told to call this same number and go to ext 341. I called and they answered as Publishers Clearing House and I was asked to go purchase a money card from Wallmart and send it back to claim my prize.
I just now looked and there is mention of this very number all over the internet and many who have been taken advantage of. Your name is being used. WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS?!!! You are a huge company with the trust of many. Don’t let these people take advantage of your family!!!

Copy of one posting below:

“Elaine Meyers called first. Gave me the 718-312-0862 ext. 341 number to call.
Spoke with Rick Jergensen in claims department. He said that Dave Chambers and Amanda Davis would be coming to my home 7-13-2012 with a new Camry and a check for $250,000. He wanted me to get a 14 digit re-loadable Green Dot Money Pak Card. He said not to put any money on it, just buy the card and they would put the money on it. You have to put a minimum of $ 10.00 when purchasing the card. I called him and told him and he said no, don’t do that. He said that they had already set up the presentation for tomorrow and because of time constraints wanted me to go to the Western Union and wire the money. I asked who it was for and he said the IRS. I told him that I lived 20 minutes from the IRS Service Center and I would deliver the money to the IRS personally. He said he would have his manager call me back with the details in about 10 minutes. They are getting very clever. It is easy to see why people fall for this scam. Be very careful!!!!!”

I have been trying to win Publishers clearing House or over 38 years!!! Spending in excess of $4,000 trying to win just what I got, nothing! My husband and I realized what a horrible scam PCH is when we purchased a storage unit we were told had been abandoned, but in actuality the Owner had passed. we paid $15.00 for the unit and it was filled with box after box after box with publishers clearing house invoices. We started adding them up but when we reached $15,000 we stopped because their were still about 10 more box’s to go through. We found out from the clerk that the woman was finally in a nursing home and her family was shocked at the amount of items she had purchased and the INHERITANCE she spent trying to win something that she was never going to win. I and they did not know how long she had been trying to win, but who ever bid on the storage room of the items she had purchased was pretty wealth because according to the clerk, every single item she had ordered had never even been opened, just stacked up as she kept ordering to win. I know they say you do not have to buy anything to enter, I don’t buy it anymore. Please if you know a senior citizen buying and buying from PCH just to try and win, please help them to STOP before they are broke or even in serious debt. I am sure PCH has some really amazing response to my post, but I do not care what they have to say, I experienced this and saw with my own eye’s, even heard a news story several years ago about this, no more for me!

If by an odd chance i might win something from PCH i would do what i have always done which is to help out others the best way i know how to. By first publishing my book which has a great deal of medical information in it that is seldom talked about. As a retired nurse due to medical problems i have chose to write this book because i grew up in a very large family of medical professionals that range from my mother who ran hospitals and nursing homes until she was 72 yrs old, my grandmother did billing all of her life, an aunt that teaches nursing, an older sister who is a nurse, and over a dozen cousins all nurses as well. So i learned a great deal of this information from my grandmother who raised me. And i’ll be honest with you i do not have a good feeling about the Obama health care law and i am Cherokee indian to. So thank my grandmother for passing on this information which includes where to go to get free medical care as well as free to low cost medication for you. It is all income based except for one place which anyone can go to and you will be seen from head to toe and you will get six months of free medication and if you can not get there they will fly you there and back for free. I happen to have over 10 pounds of medical records from them on me. And this is just for starting. Then i would pay to put in safe rooms for all the schools in the U.S. There is more but i’ll save that for another time. Ya all take care & please be safe, Luann

I am starting to wonderr about PCH since most of their merchandise is crap and of coarse they wont or dont provide RMA’s for stuff you bought it is your responsiblity to pay the return postage and to me thats not good customer service. To this day I still have a product that needs to be returned but still have never heard back from their shipping department so until I have an RMA TOO RETURN ITEM i am not paying for item. I also am starting to think its a scam on winning. I have been permanently disabled now for four years and I have religiously played every day now without missing an entry form and still nothing I keep giving to get nothing. Wonder if its that grayish blk cloud over my head oh well.

I have real life problems. I really do need the money for me and my two girls. I want to be able to send them off to college and secure their futures. Knowing that they and their children that they’ll have will have everything tha they need. That’s all I ask. Doing so many of your enterings get tiring and is very time consuming. You send me so many emails saying im at risk of losing the prize I press claim prize but what next. I do so many enterings but I would like to know If I could actually win something. If your not a scam then prove it. And keep your word that you talk about in all those emails that you send me.
Say that I won and actually let me win.

I have begun doing the PCH Surveys. They tell me I will be entered to win the 3080 10,000,000 prize. It doesn’t say whether I have been entered or not. I have been finding that I am “NOT” what they need for this or any particular survey, however I have gone through the whole process to find this out.!! I really think I should get the opportunity to at least get the entry for having gone to the trouble of spending my time whether it is 5 minutes or a 40 minute one.! I just wish they would let me know if I was entered?!? Thank You PCH

This, so lengthy, continuing information is truly nice work. It will take time to study, continue to be useful. Thank you. I find many reasons to “work PCH” – not the least of them is that the work is good for my aging brain.

Last I heard, nothing man made is 100%, but my experience with PCH suggests that its working philosophy AND. It’s team of workers are excellent. My complaints have almost always been answered, respectfully. I, too, “worry” at the ordering pace, the subtle push to win via order.

But I do have a choice, every time, and as old dog and sometimes sucker, it is still quite clear that I have choices, and only I can make them. Keep up this good work, PCH, Sally, old dog, from Texas.

Even though PCS identified all as a matching and that PCH Prize Patrol would be identified as the match? You are stating there was no match!
NO! If your own system defines it as a win? You are awarding mathes noted as token? You are dishonest in your business dealings if 3 matches are matches AND that the Prize patrol was immediately identified in the match as a winner!
