Went to get a sandwich for my husband and I for lunch and as I was driving back home I just prayed out loud in my car for PCH to come visit us and to take all my husbands worries away and all the stress. You see he has medical things going on and I try to stay positive but I also try not to let him see I hurt just as well. I try to be the positive one and I keep saying we are gonna win honey and then we can get the things we need. Medication and what not I just feel so bad 1 medication is almost 600 dollars and he isnt taking it because we cant afford it and no medical insurance. If I would win, I would first Thank God, and I would pay tithes, and help my family. I would also start a nonprofit organization to help low income families with their rent. The money would definitely be a Blessing. I do have a question, I always hear about a winner short list, and that they get a letter to let them know that they might win something. Is this correct and also do they send this letter a week before the actual winning date (8/31/11) or is it sent earlier. Is it sent through regular mail or Fed Ex? I always hear different answers, so it becomes confusing. Can someone explain how it works? Thanks so much!

I’m sure you have heard this before, but yes I’ve never won a contest before. I have enter this one because I have a feeling that just maybe I have a chance to win. If so, I want to help my son and save my home. I live aalone and I’m not getting any younger. I have help so many people and yet I have no one to help me. I let a homesless lady stay in my home while I went to take care of my mother and she ruin it. Trying to put it back together has cost me more than I have. Today is March 6th,2013. My name is Melba Scruggs, I have been widowed since Feb,24th of 2010, and four days later I celebrated a much sadder birthday than any I can remeber since. Jason will have to receive the ICE chemo, this will be done in St.Cloud, Mn. He will be in the hospital for one week of chemo, off one week, then back in for a week. Then he will be looked at by Mayo to see if he can handle the stem cell transplant. If so then they will go ahead, if the chemo hasn’t worked as well as they want, he will go back to St. Cloud for another week of chemo.
We will have to live there for at least 6 weeks for the stem cell transplant and it’s a smaller hospital and town to navigate. We need to be within so many miles and he will be going through lots of testing, i.e. lung, heart, pyschological, blood work, etc. everyday for that month. We had to find a place that is sterile for him in Rochester, we did and will live there for the 6 to 8 weeks if needed. Its expensive but if its what he needs we will do it. . We have to go on FMLA from work, so its 3 months of no pay, but this is what has to be done for him. Unfortunately the type of transplant J will be getting is not the kind that cures so we be praying 24/7 that the chemo will get him into remission before the transplant. The transplant will give him a better outlook. None of this is the news we wanted but it’s where we are at. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support. Been entering this PCH for 50 yrs, no joke.
