The Initials Contest From A-Z

Hey PCHers,

It’s been brought to my attention that you guys have some questions about our exciting Initials Contest. So, I took it upon myself to go ahead and present a brief yet informative review of how it works.

So check this out… We guarantee to announce a winner of $1OO.OO with the same set of initials as your first and last name. In this Giveaway, prizes of $1OO.OO will be awarded via random drawing from among eligible entrants with a set of initials that match each of the 676 unique combinations of two letters in the alphabet.

For instance, my initials are M.S. If I entered on time (and if I didn’t work here!), I would have an opportunity to win $1OO.OO along with the rest of the entrants whose initials are M.S.

So, the real question is exactly how much money do we actually award? It’s time to whip out our trusty calculators. Go ahead and join me if you’d like.

Step #1:  Take the amount of the award = $1OO.OO

Step #2:  Then multiply $1OO.OO by the 676 unique combinations of two letters in the alphabet.

My calculator reads 67,6OO.OO. Do you know what that means?

There’s a total of $67,6OO.OO in Cash Prizes that are up for grabs!

Oh and did I mention? The next drawing for our Initials Contest is just around the corner. The deadline to enter is 2/29/12 so make sure you enter soon! Someone with your set of initials will win $1OO.OO! Remember, this is not part of the SuperPrize. These are separate giveaways!

I’ve found through the years, the best way to retain information is by doing exercises. So, I’ve developed a little activity for you. (Hint: If you are stumped, a great way to find the answers is by searching on PCHSearch&Win!)

1) What are the initials of the first human to step foot on the moon July 20, 1969?

2) What are the initials of the first President of the United States of America?

3) What are the initials of our very own Publishers Clearing House, Executive Vice President?

4) What are my initials? (hint: They are somewhere in this blog)

You can reveal your answers in the comment section below.

Good Luck,

Matt S.
