I do not understand why everytime I check my e-mail, PCH has so many contest for me to enter, but they mostly want me to purchase some kind of product! If my family had money to do that, I would not have even tried to win this sweepstakes! I am recently unemployed and do not have the resources to purchase anything, and everytime I get notifications from PCH that I am in a drawing, I check but can’t find my name, if a person has money to purchase the products you’re selling, than they don’t need to win your sweepstakes, I entered because I am poor, and my family could truely use a big win, not because I have spare monies to purchase anything!

    Hi Josie,

There is never any purchase necessary to enter or to win any PCH Sweepstakes. The product offers you see are just suggestions of things that we think you might like. As long as you enter before the deadline, then your entry will be among those drawn. You don’t need to look for your name. PCH Sweepstakes winners are chosen at random, and each entry has the same chance of winning. You never know who will become the next BIG winner, so don’t lose hope!

I’m sorry your having a hard time with things at the moment. I’m also unemployed (literally with change to my name and $2 in foodstamps left for the month) and have a family so I totally get the frustration of not having the money for essentials let alone extras that aren’t (or for that matter a daily reminder that pch has not yet appeared at your door to make your year..) but at the same time advertising revenue enables pch to give away the amazing prizes they do. Those prizes change people’s lives. In advertising the more people you reach the more people want to advertise with you and the more they will pay. More ads = MORE PRIZES = More people winning. I don’t like an inbox full of ads anymore than the next person but with pch A) they conveniently deliver entry opportunities to my inbox so I don’t forget, don’t have to go out of my way, AND don’t have to refill a submission form every day. B) Even if I don’t PERSONALLY win I love watching the videos of winners and am happy if deleting a few extra emails helps the cause C) If at some point the daily reminder that someone is winning and it isn’t me starts to bum me out.. I can always unsubscribe or add it to a filter that puts it in a folder or the trash so It doesn’t add to the things frustrating me that day. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that no matter what your situation is at the moment nothing is eternal.. it WILL change for better or worse. Do what you can each day even if it’s little things to opt out of stuff that makes you feel worse and make time to appreciate whatever you can find to be thankful for. It helps keep you from being overwhelmed. I truly hope you and your family’s situation improves.. *hugs*

…The first thing that I would do is: Donate $1,000,000.00 to the Shriners hospitals for children in Erie, PA. I would then look for a moderately priced condo in france: $170,000.00, where I could pursue my art. I would most likely setup finacial assistance through Wells-Fargo, so that I could be helped with money management. I would want to open a bed and breakfast in paris and perhaps a small theatre, where poverty stricken artists could perform. The sky is the limit. Even if I only won $1,000.00, I’d still be grateful. I could buy a scooter for the summer. No matter what, even if it is not a thing at all…It is okay because I had fun playing the pch games and filling out the surveys which applied. It made my month go by faster. Kudos to the entire pch team for hard work, dedication and over achieving. Whomever you be, may your smiles last as long as the hearts grow and may your karma enlighten your everyday goals. ~Gregory H.

My 3 year old Grandson has a very rare Blood Disease. It’s called Thalassemia. The Boston Children’s Hospital (are Harrison’s Angels In Blue) is dear to our hearts as my little guy needs transfussions every 3 weeks. It takes hours upon hours to get those days behind him, and without these transfusions he will surely fail and fade off into our unknown.
I would donate $1,000,000.00 to the Thalassemia Fund in NYC and Boston helping research find a way out of this painful to watch this disease take him over. We Love you Harrison. We pray for you every single day.
We Love You baby Boy, Suzzi and Grampa.

Well this is a long time after your post but your reference to Shriners Hospital caught my eye. My son needed a lot of medical help and one doctor at Shriners was the only doctor that could perform the surgery. We had insurance, but not the deductible or time to wait. I won’t ever forget when that surgeon called and said if I could get him there the following week he would start 1 of 3 surgeries and don’t worry about money. You take the east coast and I’ll take the west coast?

I have been a loyal Contestant (and customer a few times) for over 30 years. I won Fandango tickets on the PCH Search Engine once, but never got the tickets. My address is the same as where I live, and would hate to WIN a bigger prize and not actually get it. ;)

Hi Ronald, thank you for your loyalty to PCH! You never have to order something from PCH to enter our sweepstakes or to claim a prize. It’s free! While we have many draws, unfortunately, not everyone can win a prize. Winners are chosen randomly so everyone has the same chance of winning. Every new entry is a new chance to win so don’t lose hope!

I have worked as a registered nurse for 30 yrs. Any time there was a need I would try to fill in.Unfortunately due to the economy we lost all of our savings. After that I was diagnosed with an incurable disease that left me unable to work.I would love to win this sweepstakes to purchase medical insurance but I would also Like to donate to cancer research as my mom and brother has died to this and my heart is broken. Don’t get me wrong we could definitely use the money but I want to do something really good with it also!
