Meet PCH’s Newest SuperPrize Winner, Jason Clark!

Jason Clark of Pocahontas, Arkansas, works “on the river” – as he puts it, on barges that ply the Mississippi and other major waterways of the U. S.  He’s been doing that for ten years (since he was 19) and welcomes the 30-day home leaves between month-long duties for time with his wife Audrey, a hard-working registered nurse, and four children.

While life on a barge is nothing like home, these days there are computers on board and – happily – the ever-present opportunity to enter the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes online at pch.com.

Jason took advantage of that opportunity – thinking “Someone has got to win.  Why not me?”  That’s the spirit – and the mark of a winner-in-the-making.  Nonetheless, this young man didn’t really expect the Prize Patrol to knock on his door on February 29th – with roses, balloons, champagne and a Big Check worth $1 Million!

Luckily Jason was not at work when we arrived.  (We Prize Patrol’ers have tracked down winners everywhere from factories to schools to hospitals to shopping malls; but finding him on a river route thousands of miles long would have been a real challenge!)  But he wasn’t home either.  He had gone out for lunch with a friend while Audrey rested up for her hospital shift before the kids came home from school.

As we stood at the Clarks’ front door ready for the “winning moment,” Audrey came to our aid by summoning Jason on his cell phone insisting “You’ve just got to come home.”  Twenty minutes later Jason arrived not at all sure what could be so important to interrupt a friendly get-together.

Danielle, Todd and I – plus our cameraman and local media – were waiting, ready to deliver the Big Check and the surprise of a lifetime.  You can see the winning moment” at pchtv.com – in which Jason admits he was “speechless.”  (He might have been dreaming about such a miracle for a long time; but words more descriptive than “cooler than heck” escaped him.)

Jason Clark SuperPrize

Follow-up phone conversations between PCH and Jason indicate that this winner is one happy man – not to mention a very nice guy.  He’s looking forward to furthering his education and a bright future for his family.

Jason Clark SuperPrize

Does this experience of winning sound good to you?  Well, if it happened to Jason Clark it can happen to you too.  Enter the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes at pch.com today — and every day, and the next winner surprised by the PCH Prize Patrol could be YOU!

Congratulations Jason … and good luck to all of you!

Dave Sayer

PCH Prize Patrol Ambassador

Congratulation Jason! I wish would like to have fortunate to win $1 Million the same as Jason too! I try to enter to play everyday but my entries did not go smooth because my computer is old that was a gift from my sister!
In the future, if I would have a heaven luck to receive a Special Check $1 Million, it would be for my lovers. I cross my finger won’t let my daughter working and stay late at nigh time and get-up early for her college. And also I won’t let my mother worry about her children’s life.
I wish my dream will come true!

Congratulations to Jason Clark! And a question to PCH. I’ve been entering for some time now, but I’m not quite sure if I’m doing it correctly. All I have to do is go through the entry process? Or am I supposed to get some sort of number? Thanks!

    Hi Ian,

If you’ve entered online, your entry will be given a number after it is processed. Please be assured that if you have seen an entry confirmation message on the screen that your entry has been processed properly. If you enter by returning a mailer, your entry number will be marked on that mailer.

WOW!! How would anyone contain themselves after receiving an “emergency” phone call at work telling them to get home fast? His blood pressure and heart rate MUST have gone thru the roof with anxiety. The “unknown” IS unknown but what a way to find out what the “unknown” is and how he must have felt! Mxed emotions of relief, disbelief, speechless, wondering whose cars were in front of my house, no emergency vehicles, balloons? People holding a HUGE poster, blank from the back but with my name on the front followed by one number and LOTS of zeroes. Dreams DO come true and sometimes we have to make our own rainbows by persevering and unwaivering stubbornness and faith that I CAN DO THIS but having our faith be strong enough to be rewarded and to pay the reward by sharing with those of your heart and in need is now your gift to give Congratulations! PS: How didja do it? Any hints of what search words to use? If I could buy any of their products I wouldn’t be trying to win money…ok. That’s not true. Give thanks for faith in yourself and for the blessings you have received in your life. I am SO very happy for you and your family. Accept with gratitude and love. PPS…WOWSERS!!!
