Positive Thinking: A Prize Patroler’s Philosophy

Positive thinking can be a good philosophy for life … here’s why.

DAVE SAYER-PCH-PIANO

If you’ve been following our PCH Blog for some time, you may recall that I play the piano.  In a few weeks I’ll be performing in a cabaret charity benefit.  I’m still putting my program together, but am seriously considering including a medley that reflects the “positive thinking” I try to bring to life in general as well as to all the wanna-be-winners out there.  It starts with that “old chestnut” of a song, “Look for The Silver Lining” and concludes with an advertising jingle that gained familiarity some years ago: “Miracles can happen, can happen for you: Publishers Clearing House, the house where dreams come true.”  When those words are sung there are always laughs and cheers – not only from those in the audience who know that I’m the long-time head of the PCH Prize Patrol but from those who don’t know and would really love to win!

Even if you don’t live near me, I’d like you to pretend that you’ll be at this cabaret – which should be a lot of fun — and take the lyrics to heart:  “Look for the silver lining” and “Miracles can happen.”  Then “think positively” and enter the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes – without delay.

Many people have good intentions of entering our sweepstakes, but they put it off or engage in some “stinkin’ thinkin’” figuring they don’t have a chance of winning.  Well, hundreds of Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes winners may have thought that too but then decided “Hey, I’m gonna go for it!” With some positive thinking, they make the important decision to enter.  And, boy-oh-boy, are they ever glad they did!  A Big Check worth thousands or millions of dollars from PCH can change your life!  Just ask Jason Clark or Leroy Faulks or Karen Anderson or Larry Brown, just a handful of our recent PCH millionaires.  (Did you know that we’ve awarded over $237 million in prizes?)

So, how about you?  Are you ready for some positive thinking?  If so, enter PCH online, and maybe your front door will be the one we knock on to announce “You are a winner in the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes!”

Wishing you all the best — from “the house where dreams come true.”

It would be nice to hear you play! I’m lucky, I like all types of music. And yes, I am a positive thinker, negativity only brings negative results. I believe in miracles, because I have received some in my life. I don’t give up on what I want, all my entries over the years should be proof of that, sometimes things are postponed but not forfeited! No “stinkin’thinkin” here!

Aloha Mr. Dave Sayer,

Thank you for that inspiring message. I love the fact that you can play the piano, and I herd that you play the Xylophone too, how wonderful is that! You also look very dapper in the photo of you playing the piano. I would love to see you play the piano and to finely meet you in person. I do hope you put a clip of your performance on line at the PCH Facebook website, for all of us to see.

YES, YES, YES!!! I am one of the “wanna-be-winners” and I always have positive thinking about when I enter the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes!!! I just love the quote “Miracles can happen, can happen for you: Publishers Clearing House, the house where dreams come true.” I have been hoping and praying that the Prize Patrol will come to my door with the BIG MEGA check in hand, and the only way it would happen is if I enter, witch I try to do every day!

When I read the other comments from the other PCH Facebook people and I know that we are all in the same boat, I feel bad and sad for all of us and then when someone wins, I feel so very happy, happy, happy for them. Because there number has been picked out randomly and all you can do is to enter, so we all have a chance to win next time and that is the “Silver Lining,” I feel that you were talking about, you just have to enter.

So, I just want to wish every one the best of luck in entering the PCH sweepstakes, I think of the PCH Jingle “Miracles can happen, can happen for you: Publishers Clearing House, the house where dreams come true.” I know it will happen for me someday, so I just have to look for that “Silver Lining” and keep on hoping, praying and dreaming of the PCH prize patrol knocking at my door.

I do hope you have a fantastic weekend!!!!

Mahalo!

The Honorable Chief Patrol PCH, respond to this man’s philosophy can I conclude that the election winner in PCH.Com is based on neutral principles, regardless of the color differences, which in my mind just like I came from different countries and different civilizations. Really like the philosophy you that with positive thinking will bring good luck. In carrying out the task and also in the social life of the community at large. That all beings in this world is God’s creation, only in reality there are differences in color. Though in principle we only believe that a perfect The God Is One just how different each of his creations. That I can catch a glimpse of the meaning of Philosophy Mr. I am apologize for any shortcomings or mistakes that happen because I realized I was still far from perfect. I am Muliyani Made Giveaway 1830 hopefully that this exposure can be considered as head of Mr. PCH Prize Patrol. Thank you.

Hi Dave! Very nice picture indeed and really hope your show went well for you! You seemed excited, very happy for you. The whole positive thinking thing, yeah that’s great and all too! Easier said than done especially whenyou face real life struggle like say, making 7.40 an hr at 20 hrs a week paying $800.00 a month for rent without utilities being added. I dont know just my opinion. Anyhu It’s March 11th 2012 sunday at 6:24 pm et. I just logged on to my email to do my routine of entering into all ongoing sweepstakes(the only reason i have a pc or internet or an email is to enter sweepstakes provided by pch.) Anyhow none of the links worked in the email(PCHSEARCHANDWIN).(I know because I tried them all) except for the info link!Hmm strange. This also happened during the feb 29th contest. Anyhow I continuedto readthe faqs as they call it to later find out that my efforts in searching at pchsearchandwin.com maybe ineligible. Searchingthe same topic disqualifys your entry and clicking on to many different links to see if it could be useful to your search is also a disqualifcation. i was offended and very confused on the logic. How is ok for you to choose my search topics. I am a very big fan of pch blog and if I choose to use the search engine every day to read the blog, then that should be my choice. Almost two yrs of searching and who knows I may have won a sweepstakes for asuperprize by searching everyday but didn’t know because my searches where eniligible. Nice! How is this fair? I mean you people act like everyone has money to look for things they enjoy buying online. Without money it’s just a tease. I wish I could attend fancy dog shows and play piano for fancy cabaret dancers. You need money to cook a recipe, right? What about the people who eat ramen noodles every night? (laughing very hard) For people who dont know it’s a dish that consist of noodles in a cup.It usually cost no more than $1.00. Delicious!… I dont know I am just very curious and frustrated. And please this goes out to the peanut blog gallery, in advance. Please save your indirect comments! Thank you! Good day! ;-)

Hi Dave ,
I would really like to believe that I could blessed and be able to do all those things that people do. But when your like me and have lost everything it’s not something you really count on. It would just be nice too be able to pay a water bill here or electric bill there. 20 years as a State cop to get laid off with nothing and no way to get another job where I live.
Maybe having lost my job, my family and everything else I held dear in my life is payment enough. I wish you would just see what this dose to a man. I would settle for winning a job.
Thanks for listening I don’t have anyone else to cry to.

Dear Mr. Sayer, I’ve been entering the PCH Sweepstakes for over 30 years but have NEVER WON anything. I would think that after so many years and sweepstakes entries that I would have WON something. I’m having trouble with your “positive thinking” philosophy when there’s no money out there for me.I’m struggling to make ends meet and my hope is lost with ever entry because for me it is just an unattainable dream.

Well I think that old Frank Sinatra song “Young at Heart” is perfect for PCH. All the words
Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If you’re young at heart
For it’s hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you’re young at heart

You can go to extremes with impossible schemes
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams
And life gets more exciting with each passing day
And love is either in your heart or on it’s way
are there
