In What States Has Prize Money Been Awarded? Question Answered!

Prize money has been awarded to prize winners in all 50 states! But read on to find out if your state has ever had a SuperPrize winner!

The other day, Amanda C. stopped by my office to tell me about a question that was posted on her recent blog, “Wish Upon a Lucky Star And SuperPrize® Dreams Could Come True.” The question was from Annamaria S., who said, “I am from New Mexico. Has anyone ever won from here?” When I heard this, I decided I had to write a blog myself, because I’m so happy to tell you that…

Yes, Annamaria S., there have been Publishers Clearing House prize winners in all 50 states! Ever since the launch of our very first sweepstakes in 1967, we’ve given away millions of dollars in prize money to folks from every state in the country! The Prize Patrol sure has been busy!

But which states have had a SuperPrize Winner? We actually have a map here at PCH Headquarters that represents all the states in which $1,000,000.00…$2,000,000.00… …$10,000.000.00…AND MORE!…in prize money has been awarded in over the years. As the map shows, to date, the Prize Patrol has awarded SuperPrizes to lucky prize winners in twenty-seven states, including…

  • Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida
  • Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland
  • Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri
  • Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York
  • North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania,
  • Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington

Is your state on the list above? If not, I encourage you to enter today for your chance to become its very first SuperPrize winner and get a special visit (and a whole lot of prize money!) from the Prize Patrol!

Remember: our winner selection process is completely random and unbiased, and all entries have an equal chance of winning. North, East, South or West, prize winners can come from anywhere! Wherever you live, it’s just as possible for you to become a PCH SuperPrize winner — like our two newest millionaires, Jason Clark of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Leroy Faulks of Orange, New Jersey — as it is for every entrant.

Best Wishes!

P.S. If you have any questions you’d like to ask us — about prize money, prize winners or anything else, do what Annamaria S. did — post them in the blog comment space below, and we’ll do our best to answer ASAP!

  1. I hope you come over to $$ S$$$$$$$$ Lane in M$$$$$$$$$ WV, $$$$$. I need the money cause I’m pregnant with a baby girl, and I need buy something for her.

  2. People need to learn not to play PCH for the cash prizes, but just for the entertainment (which will take as little as 4 hrs to play or up to 8 hrs to play every day) otherwise it’ll drive you crazy. I’m not trying to sway people from playing but I hope I can make some people feel better about losing.
For instance; sure it’s disheartening to know PCH has been active since the 50’s and MAYBE only half the nation has had a Super Prize Winner (my current State NEVER has according to their list and probably never will but that doesn’t make me mad, it is what it is).
Fun fact about the Lottery: According to the National Weather Service, you are about 250 times more likely to be struck by lightning than you are to win the lottery. One of the most popular lotteries in the United States, Mega Millions, your odds of winning are about 1 in 176 million.
Fun fact about PCH: The odds of winning $5,000 a week for life are 1 in 6.2 billion (just for an example since this is one of the most popular prizes).
40% of the company profits benefit community organizations (and that’s cool).
I don’t believe the “only old/rich people win PCH” but I do believe the states with the most players have the most big winners, just like with the state lottery (or so it appears like if 50 people live in 1 state and 2 people in another, there’s a very large chance PCH will be sent to the state with the most players over and over).
I’ve been playing on and off for I think 10 years now, and yea, I’ve won $10 but that’s it. And sure I could spill my generic sob story of how life “sucks” but I make it work. Please don’t expect PCH to come “save” you. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s selfish for people to only drop negative texts because they don’t win. That’s it.
I’m not writing this to generate a response, just hope someone reads it and teaches them to lose gracefully.

  4. Unquestionably consider that which you stated.

Your favourite reason seemed to be at the net the easiest thing to consider of.
I say to you, I definitely get irked while people
think about concerns that they just do not realize about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest
and also outlined out the whole thing with no need
side effect , folks can take a signal. Will probably be again to get more.

    Thank you
