Big Check, Big Winner, Big Acts Of Kindness!

These days, it seems like we’re constantly barraged with a slew of bad news. Turn on the TV, open up a newspaper – you’re almost guaranteed to see a story about greed, illness, and deceit. But don’t let these never-ending negative stories get you too down. I’m here to tell you that there is a lot of good and kindness in the world! I’ve experienced it firsthand during some recent Prize Patrol trips.

The Prize Patrol gets to experience the kindness of strangers all the time. As mentioned in a previous blog, neighbors are one of the most valuable PCH assets. Whether they are close to the big winner or not, these people are often eager and willing to help the Prize Patrol get the Big Check to our winners. They’ll offer up everything they possibly know about a winner’s schedule… and even try to contact others who might know more.

Then there are those special people who are so overcome with joy for the winner’s good fortune. Because how much fun is it to become a big winner without having others to share the excitement with? Friends, family, passersby, coworkers, even complete strangers – all of these people have shed tears, cheered, hugged, and applauded our wonderful winners. They celebrated someone else’s happiness, selflessly enjoying seeing another’s life change.

I can’t forget to include the wonderful individuals who work at airports around the country. Traveling with the Big Check and van sign is no easy feat, especially when the Prize Patrol is flying on small planes. But airline employees are often so understanding when it comes to these awkwardly shaped carry-ons. It would be so easy to demand that these items be checked as luggage (and possibly damage them in the process!). But they do their best to be accommodating and offer innovative suggestions to help the Prize Patrol get to their destinations with as little difficulty as possible.

So sometimes, it’s nice to remember that there are A LOT of good people in the world, the kinds of people who help others without asking for anything in return, the kinds of people who find joy in other’s good fortune.

Here’s to all of you great people who help brighten the world every day! That includes all of you lovely people right here on the blog and on Facebook. We appreciate your positive comments, your belief in PCH, and the congratulations you extend to our Big Check winners. And maybe one day, others will offer the same kindness to the Prize Patrol as they’re on surprise YOU as the next big winner.

Laura @ PCH

First able, Big Acts of Kindness is The Famous Prize Patrol come to knock my door.
If I won prize on August 31st, I will be kindness to help my family member, bring my children, nieces and nephews to go to a Water Park or Disneyland. I have three children and including nieces and nephews there are 13 children. And I also be kindness to help donate to elderly and people disability.

If I have luck on the end of August, I’m very sure that the Prize Patrol will find my home easily.

If I were to win, I could finally get to send my son to college, help my Mother and father be able to pay for care givers and get to stay in their home. Mother has spinal cancer and my father had a bad reaction to some medication for Alztimers and now Is like a vegitable. They have spent their life saving all up on inhome care givers. I wish I could give back to them for allthey have done for me and my four sisters.I also want to give to the building fund at my church to help build the new church. I have no job right now. I haven’t had a job for 5 months. It would help not only me but also give me the opportunity to help others.
Thank You,

Publisher Clearing House Sweepstakes has been in my family for decades, My Grandfather, My Grandfather, My Mother, My Aunt has played since I was a Child, I am now 41 years old and I have been playing since my 22 year old son was 2 years old. We not yet have won anything and I still have not given up. I still to this day am playing and waiting.
I have gone through an extremely tough time in my life. From being in abusive relationship, not having nothing and living in tents with my son barely surviving to building my Dream, running my Cleaning Business and making many, many people Happy and Satisfied even when I am not Happy. Even having my business to this day I still Financial am struggling and I am not giving up, with Grandfather and Mother now watching over me I will stay strong. Even though I am Financially struggling, barely making it by, worrying about bills.
When Leaving Peoples homes and seeing their bright smiles and excitement of their extroadnary clean and shiny home because they don’t have the time or the ability to do it themselves, knowing I took that stress off their shoulders and hearing them telling me how much they love me for it makes every minute of my time building my Cleaning business worth every bit :) I have struggled all my life even though I raised three boys on my own and bent over backwards, breaking my back to make ends meat to survive.
There has been a few friends and a couple of family members that has helped me out along the way, especially my Parents :)
My mother has just passed away from a long 30 year battle of diabetes and my father has now come to live in a motorhome barely making it by.
I know in my Heart, it would be my Honor, if I won, I would be able to be Debt Free, Put my Cleaning Business Dream Nationwide, Helping everybody, Make sure my Father is taken care of and in a home not a run down motorhome and return the favors of the ones that has helped me through all my rough times and struggles :)
I tell myself every day not to give up and keep going, keep trying to build, All my Extremely hard work will come back to me. I know my Mother is watching over me :)

Have not yet to win but I Don’t Give Up.
I have worked all my life, Breaking my Back raised three boys on my own, gone through Abusive relationship, was beaten badly, ended up living with my boys on the street, at friends, in tents but knew I had to keep going.
I have followed my Dream and built my Cleaning Business out of a tent, taking care of my boys, taking care of my Mother with Diabetes so my Father could go to work so they could pay the doctor and personal bills.
Trying to build my Business has been an Extremely challenge and still struggling to this day, But I don’t give up. I go to work worrying about paying my bills because I have alway put myself on the back burner to make sure everybody is Happy because I love to see everybody happy. I have been and still am going through enough sadness and pain to where I know that feeling and I don’t want nobody else have to feel that.
To this day I Financially Struggle building my Dream with my Cleaning Business and expanding it Nationwide, making end meat and knowing when I leave Peoples houses, seeing their smiles and excitement on their faces with them telling me how much they love me because of helping them doing what they don’t have the ability or the time to do themselves give me the Satisfaction of Building my Business. It is my Passion.
My Mother, recently passed away of 30 year Battle of type 1 Diabetes is now watching over me and telling Don’t Give Up!!

I know in my Heart and Soul, if I ever won, I will make sure to Put my father back into a home. After losing our Mother of them being married 42 years, raised 9 children with just my father working as a mechanic has let himself go from depression and is now in my shoes where I was, living in a run down motorhome, barely making it by.
I will give back to the ones that has been there for me and helped me through my rough and hard times, I would be able to Finishing Building and Expanding my Business Dream with Helping the unfortunate. Pay off all debts and still make everybody Happy at the same time.

PCH,
Sometimes there are more things important in life that money can not buy .Like seen children laughing enjoying an ice cream ,a dog having a bone to past the time and enjoy the taste ,an elder holding old things to leave it to the great grand children, been able to have the whole family together remembering all times. When I see PCH give Price weather big or small I feel that person is adding a little joy for him or her or the family. It is great to see someone enjoy that special moment that, the heart or mind thought it would never had the chance to make someone smile and happy at least for a few moments.. Winning the PCH is an honor because one gets to meet like I always Call the prize Patrol, Angels. Receiving this Award is the best thing that could happen for someone who feels that he or she is bless and that blessing will give someone else the joy one has experience .Helping someone or just doing something without a thanks or smile it is something that one can appreciate and give thanks because you did something for another person. Thank you for the idea that keeps growing of PCH Sweepstakes and for all that joy you give to those who win and us, who still wishing and Dreaming.MCH

I remember growing up UN wealthy, going to our neighborhood YWCA in Lowell, MA with my big sister after school to get help with homework and to have a healthy dinner because my mom could not afford it. If i was to win the money on August 31, I too want to help those children who are like how i was growing up. I will open up an after school center for the poor absolutely free to help children and give them a safe environment and keep them out of trouble and also keep the trouble out as well with a nice healthy dinner. That is my dream.

I think kindness is needed in the world today, but with some caution. The reason I say caution is because sometimes being offering assistance to someone who doesn’t want it, may be offensive to them. I try to be helpful via twitter, by letting my followers know about job openings various places and in various states when I know about them. I do that because I know so many are seeking employment in this economy. I think if I can help even one person a year find work, then it is worth the bit of time it takes me to post it. It’s not like I’m offering the job or anything, but merely directing people to where some possibilities may be. So, I can’t take the credit per say, they and the employers it. One for applying and the other for offering the job.

This is amazinggg! I love offering a helping hand whenever I can and it fills me with so much joy, pride and accomplishment. None of us have had the easy road paved for us, we all have our downfalls and scares.
Someone else stated that there are more things in life then seeing that money, well this is true in all our cases but more so in mine, I would love to see my son go to headstart but because of time conflictions I cannot allow him unless it was an all day program which I cannot afford.

I dont want a big check ill be extremely happy to get 700 dollars to pay a month of rent and 2000 dollars to pay 16 weeks of the all day program for my little guy.

Tears came to my eyes as I read the comments. Yes, there are amazingly good people in the world. Everyone has a story to tell, which makes us all unique to that extent. I use to enter the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes many years ago, back in the seventies and eighties. At that time promotions would be mailed frequently. Back then, I would purchase items and there were stamps with the products on them. You could pay for the items in installments. Wow, how things have changed. I stopped entering because it didn’t seem that I could possibly win. I’ve been married twice since then and now have three adult children. My situation made me decide to try again. If I win the prize on August 21st, I will pay the money forward. I’ve already wrote down who I would give the money to and how she should give it out and to whom. It will be in a written notarized agreement. I was in a car accident a few years ago and I wasn’t in the car. I was standing in a parking lot next to a vehicle when a driver hit the car I was standing next to , it spinned around and hit me and sandwiched me between the car and a bus. I have had two surgeries, but did not have the most important one that causes me to deal with daily challenges. I need total neck reconstruction. I need metal plates to be put in my neck between each of my disk from the base of my skull down to my shoulder. The women that hit me did not have insurance. My knee gives me problems so I have to wear a brace. I tore both of my shoulders trying to push the car off of me. I had surgery in one of them.
Since I’m a senior citizen, I would like to enjoy what I have left of my golden years and the money would help a great deal. Since I’m homeless, I would purchase a home and donate money to the homeless shelter that I’ve visited recently to assist them with their program. It took all day to see the nurse, speak to a counselor and take a shower. I’m sure that if given more funding they could become more efficient. While I was there, one of the counselor said that she has been meeting people all day that have never came to the shelter before and she shook her head. I picked up a paper and it read”, U.S poverty expected to be highest since 1960’s”- Experts surveyed across political spectrum predict census statistics will be grim when released this fall. I thought, “That explains why there were so many new people in the shelter”. There are beautiful people in the world that are in bad situations, which causes them to become homeless. The fact Publishers Clearing House is using one of their games” Legacy Lane” to donate money to the Boys and Girls Club is consistent with the spirit of giving in our country, not to mention the many years that they have been making dreams come true.

There are so many people in our worldly system that needs some help or assistance. However it would be a blessing and a great reward to be in position to help the unfortunated. That is one of my greatest desires to be able to help homeless families, dontate to St. Jude, as well as my church. When I become PCH next SuperPrize Forever Winner I will do this. However I would perferr hands on. Congradulation to the Boy’s and Girls Club been a winner forever with the Legacy Lane. Placing smiles and a postive attitude in our young youth that dreams can come true. Thanks PCH. Take Care Sheila B. Self

Hi PCH and Laura, It’s true, you can always find the bad stories around without even looking. I prefer to find the good ones, which most of the time you need to dig a little deeper to find. I guess that’s the difference. People do good because it’s the right thing to do. So the kind acts get overlooked by the press, but they don’t get overlooked by the people they do them for.

I’m not giving up, I’m really believe the sayings try and try until you succeed. My husband who is disabled, stroke patient, left-side paralyzed and has CML Leukemia since 2009 is always telling me I’m just wasting my time in doing this because he said there are no winners and all the persons we saw in the TV or internet portraying are not real winners they are only actors and I disagree with him> I told him there will be the day I will win and I will win the BIG check…He laughed on me and teased me. Anyway, good luck to the winner… And also thanks in advance all of you guys, who help a lot of people around the world….thanks to all your BIG heart…GODBLESS YOU ALL…….
