PCH Give Back Results! Who Won The $50,000.00 Big Check?

At Publishers Clearing House, making dreams come true for winners across the nation is what we do. We’ve awarded hundreds and thousands of dollars to unsuspecting individuals since 1967, and we’re not stopping anytime soon!

But you know what else we love to do? Make dreams come true for charities, too! And last Wednesday, I was one of the lucky Prize Patrol deputies who got to award a charity from this year’s PCH Give Back event with a Big Check! And I wasn’t the only one…You see, Prize Patrol deputies went to award Big Checks to ALL three charities involved in this year’s Give Back — because everyone’s a winner in The Give Back!

So have you heard which charity walked away with the Big Check for $50,000.00? Read on to find out all the details!

In first place, receiving over 75,000 of your votes (WOW!), was…
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®!

Prize Patrol deputies Christine and Patricia couldn’t have been more excited to deliver the $50,000.00 Big Check to St. Jude Headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee. Said Christine: “The fact that over half of the PCH fans voted for the children’s research and treatment hospital during the Give Back event is amazing. Everyone at St. Jude was so excited — cheering and clapping and ecstatic that PCH fans support their cause.” Want to see the exciting winning moment for yourself? Watch below!

Christine and Patricia LOVED the culture of St. Jude. Here’s Christine with a statue of St. Jude’s founder, Danny Thomas. “It’s good luck to rub his nose. I had to do it!”

Next up…in second place, receiving over 35,000 of your votes, was…
The American Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals® (ASPCA).

For this delivery, Prize Patrol deputies Denise and Maureen didn’t have to go far — they surprised The ASPCA® with a $35,000.00 Big Check in Manhattan, New York. Denise and Maureen felt extra special making this delivery because The ASPCA said the money couldn’t have come at a better time. Watch the video below to find out why!

We’re all so happy this money will help homeless animals who were displaced during Hurricane Sandy!

And finally, last but not least…in third place, receiving over 34,000 of your votes, was…
Susan G. Komen For The Cure®!

My Prize Patrol partner Bob and I were thrilled to make the trip to Dallas, Texas to surprise Susan G. Komen with a $25,000.00 Big Check! And we only got more excited as we walked into a cheering room of Susan G. Komen employees (sporting their trademark pink!) who were even more excited to receive the Big Check! Check out the video below!

Susan G. Komen will be putting the money to good work to help save lives and cure breast cancer! We’re so glad we could help such a good cause!

So blog readers, there you have it! What did YOU think of all the PCH Give Back deliveries? Did YOUR favorite charity win? Comment below and let us know!
