Win YOUR Dream Home with Publishers Clearing House!

Enter PCH’s Dream Home Giveaway and you could win $3,000,000.00
for the house of your dreams!

Happy Wednesday blog readers! I’ve got a fun challenge for you that involves using your imagination. I want you to close your eyes and conjure up an image…of your dream home!

This is something that has crossed my mind so many times and it usually happens when I walk my dog. I breeze through the neighborhood looking at all the different houses and admiring the styles that I like. There’s not much to do when walking one’s dog so it’s so easy to daydream!  Here’s what I have figured out so far about the exterior of my dream home. I want it to have a wrap-around porch. It should be classic in style (I’m not really into a modern type look for my dream home). The front yard should be big with a nicely manicured lawn.

Dream Home

As far as the backyard is concerned, I would love to have an in ground swimming pool, maybe with a waterfall and a cool slide! I have always been a sucker for a water slide and to have one with my own pool would be amazing. The deck (yes, I have dreamt of a deck) or patio should have enough space to house a BBQ plus a great set of a table and chairs. Oh, and I can’t forget the hammock!

Water Fall

When it comes to the inside of my dream home, I have all the components in place. The living room would be stylish but homey. I’m envisioning leather couches, hardwood floors and a big screen TV. The kitchen would have stainless steel appliances and marble counter tops. I wouldn’t have an over abundance of bedrooms, just enough for the family and maybe a guest or two. My bathroom would be state of the art (think home-spa!)

Home Spa

Right as I’m happily day dreaming away, I’m usually snapped back to reality by the dog barking, and I realize that sadly, it’s just a dream.

So who’s with me? Have you ever imagined finding your dream home? Take a second to indulge and just try to come up a few components that you want! Maybe you want a modern home. Maybe you are dreaming of escaping to a beachfront property. Maybe you want to build your own dream home from scratch!

Now that you have an idea of what you want, STOP dreaming and actually DO something about your dream. Enter our Dream Home Giveaway, and you could become the winner of $3 Million Dollars to put towards your dream house. WOW, that’s enough money to have practically whatever you want!

Blog2 PCH Dream Home Giveaway

You’ve already imagined and envisioned what you want, so why not make it happen? Take the chance to enter and see if your dream house is just around the corner…courtesy of a BIG check from Publishers Clearing House!

Good luck everyone!

It would be nice to add what I do not have in my home. a pool, big bedrooms and a bathtub, huge closit anything that it is lacking would cost beyond my abilities at this time. So yes I not a mansion type person, but wish I could afford some of the nice things in a home that I lack. it is nice to dream that I could be the lucky person.

First, thank you to PCH for this opportunity. My dream home if the good Lord blesses me means my family’s dream home. It would be a blessing to give back to my children and grandchildren for supporting and loving me the way they do. I have devoted my life to them but it never seemed like it was enough. The dream home I have in mind would consist of 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a great room in orchids, lavenders and purples. 2 story with a master bedroom with a walk in closet and sitting room and also a balcony. Mud room, pool large eat in kitchen, dining room, recreation room and a 2-3 car garage. Fireplace inside and out. All in all I trust your judgement to accommodate 3 teenage grands and 4 adults. All doors made wheelchair accessible as well as bathrooms. Thank you

I love the big older homes, shoot growing up when i was still in school my parents owned a two story home that was built by the W.P.A. Works Progress Administration and had a 6 car garage because it was an old teacherie. The single teachers lived in it. It had 9′ doors and my grandfather loved the home because it was the only home he could walk room to room with out ducking, he was 6′ 6 1/2″ tall. It had 2 fire places, 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, & 3 kitchens in it when we bought it. We tore down one wall and made it into a huge game room with a pool table and other things, i tore out 1 kitchen and made it into a large bedroom, tore down another wall upstairs and made it into a large den / living room area. Upgraded the 2 kitchens and the bathrooms. Lowered the ceilings all the way through out the house, and upgraded the bathrooms. And we had to take out the old coal furnace and upgraded that to. I sat down and made up all the curtains in that house and there were a lot of very large windows so i made a lot of over sized curtains. Ya all take care & please be safe this weekend, Luann

My dream house would have to have a wrap-around porch. An old classic style home. I beautiful manicured lawn. A ground swimming pool with salt water, with artificial rocks, and a wrap-around slide with a waterfall. With a screen patio with a BBQ along with lounging chairs and table. Inside should have an old fashion bathtub with a shower. An extra bathroom with a walk-in shower or spa, hardwood floors through out the house. Music through out the house with a big screen TV. The kitchen a cheery bright kitchen with stainless steel appliances should have Corrine counter tops, a porcelain sink looking at a beautiful garden, with lots of roomy bedrooms, lots of closet space and storage. A basement for recreation or computers along with a bathroom. Forced air heater with electricity, and A/C. A corner lot would be just right. I have looked at many old classics and I really would love to have one. This is my Dream House.

Barbara, If i said that it would cost way to much to build it. I say this because my family is so big we have two family reunions just so everyone can make it. This is no joke. Shoot just on my fathers side of the family they are spread out from Mich, Wis, Ca., Tx, and Fl. But my mothers side is spread out from Wis, Tx, Fl, NC, and a lot of them are all over SC. So you can understand why we have to have two family reunions. There are over a thousand of us just on my mothers side of the family alone.
I live in most likely the smallest pull trail you would ever find. You take 1 step in and two steps to the left. This is how small it is. Good luck to everyone, and Please take care & be safe, Luann

I love to draw & design as well as to sew which is why i have back trouble. Try moving around 7 heavy duty sewing machines that are between 300 lbs to 1,000 lbs each. I love to sew & also love to draw things & put everything on paper as well as leather.I’d be happy as could be just to have a giant sewing room. Has to be big enough for all the machines and the cutting table with room to walk as well as storage room for bolts of fabrics. The kitchen there is a must have as far as a good working hood and plenty of room in it because when i get over heated in the kitchen i have seizures and have burned myself a number of times. Those are the only 2 must on this gal. Ya all please take care & be safe, Luann

I enjoy drawing including drawing up floor plans, So that is not an issue for me at all. But having a large enough sewing room to where i can make all the patterns i do in cloth then to cardboard then to leather has always been an issues for me. The only other thing that is a problem is to have a big enough kitchen with great working hoods because i love to cook but i eat one time a day. I enjoy feeding others as you can tell. Good luck to everyone because we all can use it. And please take care & be safe, Luann

Dream Home – …ah yes – I’d have to buy the vacant house next to me and the two houses in back of me ( at the very least on the other side and then on a high raised foundation with grandiose steps would be a “U” shaped adobe stucco & stone Hollywood Spanish house with green tiled roof and an open porch on the front & both sides, in addition the back second floor rooms would have hanging balconies from their French doored windows. The massive carved front door with baroque hinges and hardware would lead into an inlaid marble foyer and a grand sweeping staircase leading to the second floor. On the left side of the foyer would be an English paneled library with a Georgian marble fireplace and bronze fixtures. all of the principle rooms and bedrooms would have period fireplaces in the style of the rooms with the exception of the foyer and the kitchen. The 18th century style paneled foyer would be large enough to hold a Baby grand piano – a mint condition Aeolian Duo-Art reproducer piano in a Steinway case along with several pieces of furniture and a Zenith
‘Stratosphere’ Radio in mint condition along with an 18th century English Tall Case clock, a Chippendale hairy paw mahogany game table with folding top, several other small tables, period side chairs and a hall porters chair in green leather. All of the decorative china would be armorial. A small elevator would also be located in the foyer. The entire house would be furnished with fine antiques, oriental rugs & paintings in a style matching each room. All bathrooms and kitchen equipment to be new and the best available. to the right of the foyer would be a large dining room in yellow and white in an English 18th century Chinoiserie style. Upstairs to the front left would be a complete suite of rooms to the left of the staircase in a Emile Jacques Ruhlmann Style, paneling doors, furniture and all decorative details. Behind this again on the second floor left of the staircase would be a suite of rooms in a Renaissance style with linenfold paneling and furnishings accompanied with all decorative details. To right of the staircase on the second floor would be a suite of rooms in a Georgia style. To the right rear would be a suite of rooms modeled after those on an 18th century ship of the line – the captains cabin and saloon. in the wing behind the dining room on the first floor would be a full kitchen done in a French style with brick arches and top of the line appliances a small breakfast area to the inner side of the rear wing would lead out to a terraced garden with marble statuary and a a large fountain in the center and steps leading to a large in-ground pool. At the rear of the kitchen would be a large laundry room with utility closet and some storage a pantry & etc. In the other first floor wing to the rear of the library would be a huge entertainment set of rooms completely set up with all music, television and multi gaming equipment to the highest standards including the best computers & work stations. The attic would have several smaller bedrooms en suite and larger storage spaces – in addition all air conditioners, heating units generators and equipment needed for the efficient operation of the house would be located in the attic areas . The house would be built to hurricane proof standards to the rear of the house pool area would be a 6 car garage with 2 apartments up stairs to the second floor. My dream home is simple to explain. We have a yard instead of asphalt. We have neighbors for my kids to play with instead of always counting on each other, because even a brother and sister need time apart. And most of all, we don’t worry every month about being evicted because our rent is due to go up. What would be a bonus is having enough bedrooms we don’t have to share.

The walk around porches or hot tub are unnecessary garnishes for us. I would love my own tree.

And, it was his wish for me to hurry up and find someone else soon and to be able to get remarried to someone else as long as I could keep my medical health insurance off of him still! They lied to me at first and then they told me that I could get married again and still keep my medical health insurance! So, since I had believed that I found the man that I had dreams of when I was only7-8 year’s old, which was when my Jimmy Dale Gibson was serving for ou countries freedom fighting in the jungles of “Vietnam War”, in the tenth offensive ( the worst of that Hell War, called “Vietnam”! Heput me through a living “Vietnam Hell” and I lost my 100 percent paid off in full home because of him being so sick and at the end I was his wife (but he turned me into his Vietnam enemy in his head)! I’m in morning the loss of what I had believed was a very good and a very loving husband in the beginning of our marriage! He is so very sick (ill)! I ‘m still praying for his salvation! And, for our government to give him back his 100percent disability on his “PROSTRATE CANCER, from the AGENT ORANGE, and the other TOXINS that our government sprayed on him while he was serving for our countries freedom fighting in the jungles of “Vietnam”! I was forced into getting a byforcation (a divorce), since he just wanted to kill me dead! My Lord God rescued me from himon October 15, 2012! The holy spirit that lives in me had me to call the 911 on that early morning around 8:00a.m. after he threatened my life with a fully loaded hand gun on that early morning in October! Good evening PCH Bloggers, when I win PCH’s 3 Million Dollar Build your Dream Home Sweepstakes, I plan to build a TOTALLY Handicap accessible Home for my mother. Our new home will include a full sized Gym & fitness center, water therapy pool, ramps throughout the home, an elevator, and a complete full sized kitchen on both levels.

I can not play the catch-up game anymore. If I had my own home I would not have to worry about all the bills coming in on top of the rent $1350.00 and over $800.00 for oil. All I need is that one lucky boost in life for me and my kids. I have been playing this game for 20 years I am so close to quitting the game. But with my paycheck its never going to happen. if I had my own home. No more over paying in rent. I am so tired of giving my hard earned money for someone else’s home . Taxes on my home would be so much less money then what I am paying now. I have the land but no home. we should just go there and live in a tent. Ha! Ha! That would fix my money problems.

I didn’t get a confirmation that I succeeded in registering but PCH is quite
accurate in this kind of thing so not to worry!
