for the house of your dreams!

Happy Wednesday blog readers! I’ve got a fun challenge for you that involves using your imagination. I want you to close your eyes and conjure up an image…of your dream home!

This is something that has crossed my mind so many times and it usually happens when I walk my dog. I breeze through the neighborhood looking at all the different houses and admiring the styles that I like. There’s not much to do when walking one’s dog so it’s so easy to daydream!  Here’s what I have figured out so far about the exterior of my dream home. I want it to have a wrap-around porch. It should be classic in style (I’m not really into a modern type look for my dream home). The front yard should be big with a nicely manicured lawn.

Dream Home

As far as the backyard is concerned, I would love to have an in ground swimming pool, maybe with a waterfall and a cool slide! I have always been a sucker for a water slide and to have one with my own pool would be amazing. The deck (yes, I have dreamt of a deck) or patio should have enough space to house a BBQ plus a great set of a table and chairs. Oh, and I can’t forget the hammock!

Water Fall

When it comes to the inside of my dream home, I have all the components in place. The living room would be stylish but homey. I’m envisioning leather couches, hardwood floors and a big screen TV. The kitchen would have stainless steel appliances and marble counter tops. I wouldn’t have an over abundance of bedrooms, just enough for the family and maybe a guest or two. My bathroom would be state of the art (think home-spa!)

Home Spa

Right as I’m happily day dreaming away, I’m usually snapped back to reality by the dog barking, and I realize that sadly, it’s just a dream.

So who’s with me? Have you ever imagined finding your dream home? Take a second to indulge and just try to come up a few components that you want! Maybe you want a modern home. Maybe you are dreaming of escaping to a beachfront property. Maybe you want to build your own dream home from scratch!

Now that you have an idea of what you want, STOP dreaming and actually DO something about your dream. Enter our Dream Home Giveaway, and you could become the winner of $3 Million Dollars to put towards your dream house. WOW, that’s enough money to have practically whatever you want!

  3. Yes i would love to build my dream home.My family been going through alot of hard times for almost 7 years now.My husband has a liver illness and he needs a new liver. After treatment for a year and not being able to work now.Well we lost our family home.My husband can no longer work.We have no health insurance either!Life is very hard on us.Cant catch a break. We are staying at a friends house at this moment.Way better then being in a homeless shelter. And are kids are safe.We still have each other and i do miss having a home of my own.Everything is up in the air.I worry about my husband and what will happen to him and us.But if we won i would be so thankful!Just to have a home of are own again.Pluse my husband would not worry so much if we did have a home of our own.I think its hard on a man to have to worry about his family and what will happen to us if he dont get a liver. So i do enter everyday and i hope to win one day soon…

I have imagined a dream home for my family many many times. My dream home would be 2 story and blue. It would have a 2 car garage and a room that would be like an apartment over the garage.
It would have a deck across the whole back part of the house. So we can have cookouts and birthday parties in the summer time. It would have a huge back yard for my two boys to run around and play. It would have a trampoline and a in ground pool and a trail going through woods that would surround our home for my boys and husband to ride four wheelers and dirt bikes through. The front of our home I would want it to sit on a hill so you could look outside your windows or stand in front of my home and see as far a ever. The inside of my home would have stairs that went from on side of home to the other so we could go down stairs two different ways. I also would want to put in a family room that would have many windows in it so it would be a bright, happy, loving place for my family to be together. The kitchen would be for cooking in and I would have a separate dining room for my family to sit together at a table together every night and eat together and talk about how everyone’s day went. My boy’s rooms would have bunk beds in them but bottom bunk wouldn’t be a bed it would be a computer area under neath. Their rooms would be pretty big. I am not sure what else their rooms would have I have to leave some of it up to them. Also outside my house would have a workshop are separate from garage for my husband. So far that’s what I dream my dream home would be like.

  5. my dream home would also be considered an “extreme” home- underground dome, atrium, geo thermal heating, a hahsa house connected to heat ducts to transfer heat and burn trash- 3 mini suites so that we as a family could live there- geez- this may cost more than 3,000,000! Oh well, that is my dream house.

I actually drew my dream house as a teen. My favorite room would have a floor to ceiling bookcase. Lots of light coming through windows. Step down into the living room, step up two steps onto a platformed diningroom. a wrap around balcony indoors.and so much more……
