What It’s Like To Work At Publishers Clearing House!

Hello everyone!!

My name is Alyssa, and I am interning in the Promotion Development department at Publishers Clearing House…actually I’m reporting to someone you all know – Danielle Lam of the PCH Prize Patrol!  As my first week as an intern at Publishers Clearing House comes to an end, all I can think about is how exciting and eventful my summer is going to be. I have to say that I was a little nervous on my first day, but as soon as I walked through the doors of PCH, everyone was very welcoming and very excited for me to begin my internship experience.

I only knew of PCH as the company that shows up to people’s doors with big checks and balloons, but since I started, I have learned so much more about what this company does.  So far, I have been focusing on helping out the Prize Patrol! I have already begun analyzing video clips from different news channels across the country and national TV Shows that mention PCH.  I’m also helping Danielle put together a report of these mentions…it’s a cool task!

However, my favorite day so far was my second day! I got the opportunity to go with Danielle and Laura to present a Big Check…something people only dream about being able to do! I was so excited when Danielle invited me to come and could not believe that only on my second day I would be out on the field surprising someone! This award was part of the Mutt-i-grees America Adopts PSA contest. The check was delivered to a school that submitted a PSA video on why people should adopt a mutt-i-gree. The video was very inspirational and gave a lot of facts about why people should adopt animals. Because of their amazing video, the school was able to win first place in their age group and a $2,500 grant. I was so happy to be a part of the surprise!

My second day at work at Publishers Clearing House

The looks on the student’s faces when Laura and I walked into the room with the Big Check, balloons and flowers were so funny…everyone was just in shock! Before we walked in, they thought they were attending an assembly about bullying…boy were they shocked when they realized it was something so wonderful!! I hope that I will be able to experience another trip with the Prize Patrol…who knows…it could even be one of YOU reading this blog if you enter the sweepstakes!

My second day working at PCH

I have always wanted a job where I would be able to help and meet people from all over the country and Publishers Clearing House definitely does that.

I look forward to filling you all in on my internship experience this summer. One of the most important things that I have learned is how REAL PCH is. Real people win the sweepstakes, and it takes a lot of PCH employees and a lot of work to make those sweepstakes come to life.

I wish you all the best of luck — and remember, be sure to enter today for your chance to win the Mega Prize on June 30th!

Alyssa C.
Promotion Development Intern

P.S. Tune in all summer as I follow up on my internship experience and tell you more about what it’s like to work at Publishers Clearing House! I’ll also be giving you updates on what’s going on with the Prize Patrol!!

P.P.S. I would love if you would leave a comment below about your experience with the PCH and the Prize Patrol, and how they have impacted your life! Tell me if you would be excited to have a chance to deliver a big check to a lucky winner??

I would be very happy and excited. I enter Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes everyday. I would love to see my name on that check on June 30, 2013. When I think about how many lives PCH change it makes me cry. I would love to have my first child. If I am financially secure then I would be great. Looking forward for the life changing moment.

I have been having problems with the PCH Search & Win – I complete the process and can not get out, without having the notice stating that if I leave I forfit my opportunity to win come up. There is also a problem with the search engine I get to login get a thank you note but can not search because it does not open up to respond to the inquiry, it goes back to Search & Win page. It would benefit your contestant/ customers if you rectify these problems and have an exsit/logout icon once we have completed the process / entries. Thank you

It doesn’t take much to make me
happy. Number 1. I would like for my computer keys to not stick. Ha!
Number 2, I want to win enough
money for my husband and I to be
free of debt for the rest of our
lives, about 10-15 years according to ancestry, God willing. Also enough to share with people who have helped us
along our journey through life and the 28 immediate family members. Special Interest charaties etc.

I for one know what goes on behind the scenes of a working
project. Our Family, so big, so fast with newborns, steps, adoptees friends children, etc.
etc. Everybody needs to be
happy. You need organizers, promoters, personality plus people to make the wheels turn
properly and a lot of grub workers.
