Does Publishers Clearing House Contact Winners In Advance?

Hi blog readers!

It’s Danielle Lam with the PCH Prize Patrol! One question I hear from our fans a lot is: “does Publishers Clearing House contact winners in advance?” Watch my video below to find out the answer:

There you have it everyone! As I mentioned in my video, the only way you’ll know if you won big from PCH is if the Prize Patrol shows up at your doorstep! That’s right, we do NOT contact our prize winners in advance. You’ve seen our winning moments on TV, and that is exactly how they happen in real life! We show up unannounced and give our lucky winners the surprise of a lifetime.

The other important thing to remember is that we NEVER ask for money from our winners! At PCH, the winning is ALWAYS free! So if you get a phone call, text message or anything in the mail about winning, and the person asks you to send money to claim your prize, that is NOT the real PCH Sweepstakes!

I hope this helped clear things up, and remember, if you ever have any questions, ASK US! Leave a comment below or on my Danielle Lam PCH Prize Patrol Fan Page on Facebook!

Our next big prize event is right around the corner, so please stay safe everyone — and GOOD LUCK!

  1. Hi,
    Are you still in business?
I found a few errors on your site.
Would you like me to send over a screenshot of those errors?

  2. Initial entry materials were mailed to me by PCH. I did not start the entry. I responded to every
“OFFICIAL ENTRY-ORDER DOCUMENT N-40” since receiving the initial entry. Sometimes there were 3 Documents per week. All were mailed to a specific Entry Order Processing Ctr in St Cloud MN. All were mailed by United Parces Service, a special delivery service. According the Customer Service, I was told in August I was not a contestant. Three calls, from me, to Customer Service, during August and September all gave me the same response. Today when I called and spoke with a Michael, he said someone had removed my name early in the beginning, he did not know by whom.
In the meantime, I have spent hundreds of dollars in fees delivering the completed OFFICIAL ENTRY-ORDER DOCUMENTS. Several times, the documents have even shown a map with my address located. IS THIS A REAL CONTEST?

  3. Well it’s this man name Michael Henry call and said I was the winner of 5 Millions Dollars put I had to give them $499 then he gave me a claim # #### confirmation # ###### he asked me did I want to see it on TV, publicity or don’t want nobody to know I said TV. But what I know about PCH they come to your house so I know it’s a scam.

    1. Hi Vernita, I’m glad you could tell that was a scammer. The real PCH doesn’t notify our major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask for money to claim a prize. Please report any details you have about that scam contact to us at this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. 1. Hello Gloria, that is not the real PCH calling you; it’s a scammer that’s only pretending to be from PCH. Please do not call that number, do not give the scammer any personal info including bank account information, and definitely do not send them any money if they ask. If you haven’t already done so, please report that scam contact to us via the following link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. I encourage you to read these Safety Tips too: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim!
