What Would YOU Do If You Won The “Forever” Prize?

Forever Prize

Hello PCH Fans!

It’s time to look forward to FOREVER! That’s right, the “Forever” Prize is back, and it’s guaranteed to be awarded NEXT MONTH!

I know the excitement has to be building for everyone. I mean, that’s a lot to think about.  YOU would get $5,000 a Week for Life. Then to top it all off, it would continue on to another person for THEIR lifetime.

The possibilities seem endless when you think about it. Granted, a lot of possibilities opened up when I won the $1 Million SuperPrize in August of 2008. But the “Forever” Prize would definitely up the ante.

What would I do if I won such a prize? I really had to think about it!

I would:

  • Start a scholarship at Toledo Central Catholic High School and The University of Toledo. Education is a great investment for the community.
  • Make larger donations to local and national charities that I support. My local Humane Society could definitely use some assistance.
  • Build a second home somewhere a little warmer. Sometimes Ohio winters can get a little wicked!
  • Buy my husband’s dream car for him. I guess I’d better double check what that is! As for me, I love my Smokey, my 2013 Ford Focus.
  • Finally take a jump over the ‘Big Pond’ with my husband to do a few vacations in Europe. Maybe we can find the city where the Bostelmans originated and share our findings with the family.
  • Buy a Playstation 4 when it releases! OK, well, I’m already saving for that, but I’d probably need two if I had two homes. Right? Right.
  • Take my buddies to an all-expenses paid trip to DragonCon and/or the San Diego ComicCon. It would be so cool to see movie stars AND get exclusive first peeks for movies and TV shows.
  • RETIRE! After a month or two “off”, I’d probably start volunteering for a local organization a few days a week, but that leaves plenty of time to travel and maybe even work on some creative projects.
  • Whew, that was fun. But wait! Then the person who I would pass the winnings onto would need to figure out their own game plan. No pressure!

But now I turn the question over to YOU. If YOU won the “Forever” Prize in August, what would you do, and who would get the legacy portion of the prize? Let us know in the comments below. And don’t forget to ENTER ENTER ENTER!

GOOD LUCK!

I always wanted to be in a position to give money away to those who need it. i have a file of friends of mine that need a little boost to take the pressure off. this prize would do just that. Helping others becomes a victory for me. I’d love to make it happen.

Wait I guess with $5,000 a WEEk I can do a lot more that I can imagine, I probably can open my own taco shop :) and build my dream home with a very cool pool with slides, and a tennis and baseball court. My children are 3,2,and 1 so they are very youg and I have lots of memories to build. I can finally take some clases to improve my cooking and my sewing. Omg I always wanted to take martial arts clases and also pottery and my children can take all this clases with me. My school goes to Africa every year to teach children (I’m in child development field although I’m out of school right now because the lack of money I’m planning to go back to school and finish some day) I’ve always wanted to go and help, and maybe I can go to Cambodia too OMG!! I’m underestimating the power of $5,000 a week for life!!! GOOD LUCK TO MEEEEEEE!!!! OXOXO!!

I would pull my family out of debt. Set up a savings for all of my babies. Buy us our dream home/ranch. Take my kids on a vert deserved vacation and buy a knew vehicle. I would pay my mother’s house off and buy a few houses and start a program to help needy families with kids get on their feet. Then I would open my very own bakery. Definitely would be a miracle but as long as I keep the dream a live it gives me hope that one day I will be able to give to others and give my babies a good life.

Wow!! If I earn $5000 a week, I could actually make the dreams for my family, for example collecting and buying a new house, pay my kids college and mine too, and cover all my debts. Help my whole family, my mom, siblings. Also, I made donations to institutions for people who are suffering from diseases, may have a better deal, and also to discover new procedures to heal all those who need it, such as cancer, diabetes, autism, the homeless, and abandoned animals, for they are not slaughtered, because I think it’s not fair that people will take their lives to these defenseless animals, etc..
Finally, I would like to go on a trip with my family for the various wonderful places that exist where you can enjoy the surroundings of nature and its beauty and make it an unforgettable experience for all.

There are so many things I would be able to do should I win the $5000 a week prize. First, I would pay off my mortgage. Second, I would save for my children’s college education. Third, I would have enough money to retire so I can really sit down to write my book. It is a dream of mine to finally be able to write my autobiography. So many people have asked for it and it is hard to find the time to write when I am a full-time employee and a full-time mother. I hope I win the $5000 a week prize so I can realise my dreams.

If I won I would pay off my grandparents house and give them some extra money so my grandfather wouldn’t have to work anymore.I’d but my mom a nice little house, pay off all my bills, and move out of this apartment that drains my every penny.Ever sisnce I was a teen I have had a dream of helping the homeless/less fortunate.Like buying some apartments and housing them, but helping them find jobs…getting them back on their feet.Maybe a safehouse of sorts for teens and battered women.I want to help people.Even now I give when I don’t have much to give.Have always had the belief of what goes around comes around.I don’t expect anything but gratitude. There is nothing like seeing the smile on someone who doesn’t have food or cant afford to pay a bill….anything like there is when you see the relief in their eyes knowing you just helped them.I love that,I live for that.so if I had the opportunity to do more;I would.

I would open a large sustainable organic community farm. A lot of the people in my community have to scrape by and can barely afford groceries for their families, and the food pantries around here are extremely limited. My farm would provide FREE food to EVERY needy family that came to my door! Good food should not be a worry for any family!! A properly tended farm can produce thousands of pounds of fruits and veggies. More than enough to give away :)

I would be able to keep my house & fix it up, pay my dr. bills and charge accounts. I would also get a new car for my husband and i (right now driving 2003 and 2006). Then i would help my family-(my mom bedridden and it costs my dad a lot of money for in home care). This money would make all the difference in the world to my life. my husband is self employed and if we have another winter like last year we could lose everything. After everything is paid, one of my dreams is to help the hungry and homeless and teach them to help themselves. thanks for letting me vent and dream!

Well for one, I have been getting by from month to month off my back child support , which is $342. then add the SSI for my 15 year old daughter, for a grand total of $ 511 each month.I am a single parent(divorced) My 22 year old son inherited a mental illness, is what has kept me from going back to work. He has Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Every time I tried to work in the past, he caused to much problems at home. He can be very violent : even though he takes daily medication for his illness. We have a lawyer trying to get him SSI strated, been waiting for this for about nine months now. So to say what I would do if I won, I would buy him a home of his own, and place it on the family property near my home. This way I could make sure he takes his medication daily, but be able to enjoy some much needed peace in my own home. We live in a 10 by 40 single wide 70s modle trailer, with only 2 bed rooms and 1 bath. There is 5 of us under this roof, so I would add on for the rest of us or buy a bigger trailer, and also keep this one : for when I need some me time. I can honestly say, that I feel for any one that has a family member with a mental illness, it takes a big toll on the entire family. And as a mother ,I can not throw my son out and leave him homeless, and I can not work and leave him in my home alone with the rest of the family, for fear he may hurt his sisters, and the ungest is 15. So I am between a rock and a hard place. But I manage to scrap by, for the love of all my children who depend on me. So I would deffinetly put any winnings to good use, for the sake of all my children. All my kids are always saying how much they hate their lives, this is due to having to endure their brother living under the same roof with them and making life impossible for anyone of us to see any peace, And I feel for them and their suffering, but I also feel for him, he did not ask to inherit this, and like I tell them: it could of been you , and how would you feel then ? A mother will always do her best to help all her children, no matter what the problem is. God Bless any one going through this type of situation, cause I understand what you are going thru.

[REPLY TO THIS POST]
Debbie Creech said...

PCH has asked me, and I am sure they ask every one, what would you do if you won the big prize , Well I would buy my 22 year old son that inherited a mental illness, a home of his own, and would place it near my 10 by 40 single wide 70s model trailer. This way I can make sure he takes his medication every day. I haven’t been able to work due to his illness. In the past when I did work, I would get calls at work about him causing trouble. And came home to have to deal with all the problems he caused every day. So I choose to stay home and keep the peace in the home, until his lawyer can get his SSI started for him, when this will be : I have no idea, it’s already been around 9 months, and still nothing. And we get by from month to month on my back child support that is a total of $ 511. That’s right 511 each month. It’s tough, but we manage. And as a mother ,I can not throw him out and make him homeless, but at the same time : I understand why the rest of my kids are always saying they hate their lives, his mental illness has took a toll on the entire family. And I can not trust my son not to hurt his sisters while I work some place, he can be violent , even on the medcation. And my youngest is 15. So I stay home to keep the peace in the home. And I am divorce , But a mother that loves her children will do everything she can to help all her children that need and depand on her, no matter what the problem is. And like I told the rest of my children, they could have inherited this mental illness and I am sure they would want the rest of the family to be more understanding for them . So I would use the money to improve the lives of all my children , so they wouldn’t no longer hate their lives. I would make sure they all had their own improved space, so we could all have some peace in our lives, but still live close enough to help my son each day. God Bless anyone going thru this type problem, I know what you are going thru and I feel for you. So now you know what I would do if I won. I would help my children and probly other families in the same vote as I am. God Bless you all.
