Winning The PCH Sweepstakes Changed My Life!

winningpchsweeps

Hey there, Everyone!

It’s your friendly Neighborhood PCH Goodwill Ambassador, Natalie! As a former SuperPrize Winner, I get asked a lot of questions. “What did you do with the money after you won?”  “How did your life change?” “Is it real?? Did the Prize Patrol really visit you?”

YES! It’s REAL, and the Prize Patrol really DID visit me. You can see my winning moment below, complete with the big check, balloons and flowers!

My life definitely changed – I was no longer working three jobs (yes, that’s not a typo, THREE) we paid off our debts and built our dream home. In fact, after winning my SuperPrize, I’ve been lucky enough to be on the other side of the winning – by helping the Prize Patrol deliver a few BIG CHECKS!

Other than paying off those bills and building our dream home, another thing that my SuperPrize win afforded myself and my husband was the ability to take more time off, like take a two week long vacation!

Our first trip was with my husband’s family to the Upper Peninsula. ‘The…what?’ You ask? If you are not from my general neck of the woods, it is the second part of Michigan, above the “mitten”.

The land is so green, air so clean and the skies… cloudy. But we still managed to have fun! We took a ferry over to an island with a famous hotel. (What hotel? What island? The hotel was featured in “Somewhere in Time”. You can search for it using PCHSearch&Win!) We enjoyed a local favorite, Whitefish Dip, at one of our favorite restaurants, the Pink Pony.

upperpeninsula

We also visited two beautiful parks. The first featured Upper and Lower falls that were BROWN! No, it is not because of pollution. We visited Tahquamenon Falls and learned why the water had this odd color. (You can find out what makes the water brown through PCHSearch&Win!) Then we hopped in the car and headed to the lake to beat all lakes. It IS named “Superior” after all!

It was my first time visiting this Great Lake, as well as the “Pictured Rocks”. They were absolutely beautiful. But one thing that stood out was this lone tree, sitting atop of one of the formations. Apparently it is quite old, and the root system used to be supported by a natural bridge. That bridge collapsed, and yet the roots were strong enough to survive. Amazing.

Then we took ONE day off so that we could prepare for another family vacation. This time with MY family!

On this leg of our vacation, we decided to kick things up a notch on our trip to Colorado.

First kick – we flew First Class! The flight attendants were wonderful and we got hot towels! Whoo hoo!

Second kick – we rented a car. Our car was supposed to be a normal sedan, but Scott thought, “Eh, let’s see what else is available. Let’s get something FUN.” We did! We rented a Mercedes!

Third kick – We decided to take a day trip to the place that inspired Katharine Lee Bates to write the poem, “Pike’s Peak”, but you probably know it by another name. (Take another spin on PCHSearch& Win!)

natalie bostelman

We took the Cog Railroad up the mountain, and marveled in the beautiful sights, including Long Horn Sheep and the view Ms. Bates had that inspired her famous poem. We were truly on top of the world.

I bet that you would be ‘on top of the world’ as well if you won the latest SuperPrize! $7,000 A Week For Life is the LARGEST weekly lifetime prize we’ve ever offered! What would you do if you suddenly became a millionaire? Would you travel in style like we did? How about simply taking it easy and retiring? Let me know in the comments below, and don’t forget to ENTER ENTER ENTER!

GOOD LUCK!

Thank you Natalie Bostelman, 2008 SuperPrize Winner, PCH Goodwill Ambassador for that totally inspiring letter, for me it just gives me hope for every time I enter PCH! YES, YES, YES, I really love your then and NOW!!!! In ONE MONTH, I would love seeing the Prize Patrol at my door with the $5,000.00 a week FOREVER giveaway.

I love your letter about how STRESSED you were at that time. I totally relate to your story, I had a full time job and I have been out of work for 2 years now, I have gotten a very part time job and I am looking for two other part time jobs or a full time job so I can just make ends meat, just the thought of this is very STRESSFUL for me and my family. I have been entering every day and I am just hoping, praying and dreaming to win the $5,000.00 a week FOREVER this August 31st. Everyday I dream on what I would do for me and my family and there is so much to do and that is why I enter everyday so our family and I will feel more secure in life, knowing that the FOREVER will go on after I have passed to help the rest of my family if I won. This is what I would do if I win the $5,000.00 a week FOREVER!

How I would like it to change my life, I would try to help my parents, I would make sure that someone was hired to help them, but I would still be around to help out as well. I would try to help my extended family as much as I could with out ruffling any feathers. Actually, I have a very long list of things to do with the money if I won $5,000.00 a week FOREVER, (starting with: payoff my husbands and my bills, renovate our home, my parents and I need a new car and then take a vacation with my family, I would set up scholarships for kids that go to the church that I go to as well as donating to the church, save for my son’s college) and it is all to help my family and then invest in some property for my families future. Family is every thing, I am sure you would agree.

A long and dreamy P.S.: I just love your story on how you won the Big Mega Super Prize and how you became the “Goodwill Ambassador for PCH.” That is just AWESOME! I would love it if I was that lucky or even luckier than that by winning the “$5,000.00 a week FOREVER” giveaway this August 31, 2012, this is why I enter PCH besides the fact that I love to play your PCH games. I enter everyday and I have not won any thing but I just keep on trying because that is all I can do at this point, besides looking for work and take care of my family. If the Prize Patrol came to my door I just want to tell you that I am sure I would think it was not true at first and then I would be happy and start to laugh and then I would cry big time. They would be tears of JOY!

I just wanted to wish you the very best and I do hope you have a wonderful Month of August!!!

I would pay off all my bills and would not have to pick to pay for my medication or get more food. I would get a house for my daughter and her husband that had to move back in with us because he lost his job. I would put a side money for my grandkids and help out the rest of my family. I would be able to go camping more and even get a car for my wife and a new camper so we see more of the united states now that I am on a fixed income and retired.

My wife and I love to travel when we have the means to. We enjoy taking trips to the coast, a place called ST. Augustine. It is truly amazing over there with all of the history. We would love to take our dogs around the United States in a RV. We would love to retire early from being educators. Being a millionaire would just be awesome.
Congrats to Natalie.
Thanks PCH for the possibility!

Great photos Natalie! I also live in MI so have seen some beautiful scenery.

By the way, as I mentioned a couple days ago on this blog, $7,000 a week for life is NOT the biggest prize PCH has ever offered. A few weeks ago I received a PCh mailing that offered an upgraded prize of $8,500 every week for life. That is the prize I’m hoping to win! If I were to win I’d love to talk with you and get some advice on how you have dealt with winning the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes.

Take care, and best wishes.

Natalie & Scott,
You both truly are an inspiration to those of us who support PCH in our own way. Some of us by making an occasional purchase or two, or by ‘sharing’ or ‘commenting’ and even ‘liking’ the neat things PCH offers.
You-guys approach to presenting ‘How the Win has changed your lives’ delivers that underlying and important theme to the giving that PCH has for so many years ‘created’ for its audience…and to me, it means that we’re all in-this-together in many ways…and that the giving once its passed-on from PCH to its Winner’s hands, has ‘New Life’ in the giving that those Winners can provide to others in their own special way! Bravo! ;-) EJ (Hope you safely traversed the flooding in Colorado!)

Hi! Well I just picked up my son, that was walking home on the highway because his car poofed out on him. So yes to win 7,000 a week for life would change ours! Hubby would retire again. Our kids and hubby would all get dependable vehicles. Mine isn’t new, but it’s dependable and I like it. Vacations at first would be to visit family. Our traveling in style would be long drives to different states, but it would be traveling in style because we could do it. Those visits are long overdue. Two days after the prize award is Thanksgiving, that would change the, I am thankful for speech somewhat! Oh, and I would not be doing black Friday this year! Some savings I’d rather skip and enjoy the luxury of paying full price. :)

Thank you for sharing this, Natalie! What fun, to be a PCH Goodwill Ambassador! I think that would be incredible to be able to share your experiences once you have won!! I have often loved to write, myself and have a few poems under my belt! I can only imagine, the feeling of incredible high, you must have felt when you won! Winning, would change my life incredibly as well! It would be a dream of mine to do some travelling, and to buy my dream home! It would be a given, to help my family and to visit my Dad in Kerny Mesa Hospital, then I would donate some to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. My Dad had cancer when he was younger, but kicked it! So, this is a soft spot in my heart, to help all of those little babes that need help! Any way, it was a pleasure to read your blog! Take care in the future and enjoy! All the best, Val Gleason!

Natalie, you were blessed and this was your season to shine. I actually had a beautiful dream that I shared with my co-workers, friends and family. No one believes you when you state you had the dream. I have the faith and stand on it that it will happen to me someday. When it is revealed; I will definitely share with the world what I dreamed and let them know it can truly happen for me and everyone as well if they believe! I will retire after working 34 years and travel becoming debt free as you were. I will build a dream home, purchase my dream car and live like my dream! However, I will definitely donate to charities, family, friends and co-workers. Even pay tithes of course as the bible states in Malachi Chpt 3 verse 4. I know my life will change forever. I will not worrying about pay check to paycheck and afraid to retire due to finances! I believe in miracles and blessings! I am so happy for you! When it is my time and season with many beliefs; I can say to the world, I remained a believer; I am the true witness, I had the dream and will tell the world what I dreamed and believed through the Lord’s grace that this dream became a reality. Natalie, enjoy your winnings and be blessed! I know it and feel that it will happen to me. I tell everyone; my spirit tells me to stay happy on a daily basis; be positive because if it happened for you; it can happen for me!!

I was so happy for you Natalie Bostelman when you won that 1 mil prize, and really like the great letter on the before and after, would love to see more winners do this. I hope someday I win big big!! I enter several times a day, playing games, using the new PCH Frontpage, PCH Search & Win, receiving e-mails with opportunities to enter. I utilize every chance I can get to enter. I’ve been entering for more than 20 years even though for some reason they have me only entering since 2008, but I did move in 2008 maybe that’s why. I’ve been forced to retire without funds now for 5 years due to being laid off in 2008 and living with my ex hubby who’s business after 35 years had to close it in 2008 due to the economy, now he’s a handyman. I know we would love to travel as much as possible, also would help all my family out including my mom who will be 88 next month, pay off bills, build a home so mom could live with us and donate to food banks in our community and more. I’m not going to give up!! I’ll enter, enter, enter until it’s my turn!!

Love watching the “winning moments”! And I love that you are involved in surprising more lucky people with winnings! I want to share a story with you and I will try to make it short! Co-workers and I surprised a family in need at Christmas time years ago. We bought and wrapped 3 car loads of gifts and delivered them to their house on Christmas Eve. No one was home but the door was unlocked. We made the bold decision to enter and set the gifts all over the living room. It was a small home and we filled the place up! When the family returned with their small children and entered their home to find what we left they were in shock! I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see the children’s faces. That memory and the feeling of pure joy will stay with me forever and will always be my favorite! After helping those close to me, I am sure I would use the winnings to bring more hope and joy to others. It’s an addicting feeling, making others smile.

Hi Natalie I love hearing about the wonderful things you have gotten to do since you winning Publishers Clearing House. I enter every day at PCH in hopes to win PCH and change my families lives for the better. I always have the thought of how life would be for my family if I won in the back of my mind. It would give me and my husband the chance to get a house for our boys and us that would give us much more room than we have now. We live in a mobile home park in Pataskala Ohio which it family oriented and beautiful around here but it would be great to have more room for our family to move around and it would allow us to decorate our boys rooms to their personalities more. And we could build our dream home from the ground up which has always been a dream of ours since we had our boys. I enjoyed reading about your vacations that you took with your husband and family. It sounded like a absolute blast. You definitely needed something like that after working 3 jobs. You are a true inspiration to me because you worked hard and never gave up and it paid off in the end. Congratulations on all your happiness and hope your life if full of many more blessings. I hope to one day have a wonderful story to tell just like yours of winning Publishers Clearing House. I won’t give up no matter how long it may take. I would love to give my family the blessing of building our dreams and making them all come true. Have a great day Natalie and thanks for sharing your story.

Thanks Natalie for sharing your winning moment story. I got so excited hearing about all that you & your husband did to enjoy yourselves and the financial freedom that comes with winning!

I have been entering the PCH Sweepstakes for many years and I haven’t given up. I faithfully enter everyday and I’m hoping and praying that one day I will win because I really could use the money.

I would first pay off all of my debts, buy a new truck for my husband, fly first class to Hawaii to see my daughter & family who I haven’t seen in four years. Doing this time away in Hawaii, my daughter had given birth to my 10th grand-baby who my husband & I never seen in person before. We would love to meet him. He husband is in the military there.

We have a reverse mortgage on our home and would love to get it refinanced and buy it back or start over and purchase a new home. We have been in this home for 30 years. All (3) of the bathrooms need to be updated, and my kitchen need to be updated too with all new kitchen appliances.

Also if I won, I could help all (10) of my grandchildren to go to college. There definitely wouldn’t be no wasting this much needed money! Also I would be able to donate to a few charity organizations.

I hope my faithfulness and loyalty to PCH pays off for so many years.

He went back in time and met his true love.
I am so very grateful to have these sweepstakes entry opportunities. Thank you PCH for offering them to the public.

Thanks for sharing your “Winning The PCH Sweepstakes Changed My Life” blog with the three photos, especially the Tahquamenon Falls photo. If I won and had on jogging or running shoes, I plan to try to do a leap similar to the one you did along the side of the van, but I cannot bend my knees like you did. I may also lack your vertical leap. Also I plan to pray that Almighty God would allow me to live long enough to not only pay all my back tithes out of an abundance, but also to lay some treasures in Heaven out of an abundance. Then I might pray, that unless it is against God’s will, that God bless me with a wife. I never learned what God’s plan for my life was, and I do not know whether God currently has a plan for my life.

I wish I could win like Natalie! Me and my husband have a hard time saving money our mortgage is high, once that money goes then we have to pay all the bills in the house. Right now we are struggling really hard. We need heat for our home and can’t afford it. We use the oven to warm our house up. We need a new roof, and Christmas is going to very bad for my kids. There are so many bills that have to get paid that we are behind on. I currently have a lieu on my house from united water because we can only pay what we can afford every 3 months. So my house can we taken away and leave us homeless. We paid our mortgage late this month and leaves us $0.00 in our account. I have car insurance to pay, cable, light, and trying to get some heat for our home. Less the fact that it is December 7th and still no Christmas gifts for my kids, husband or family. This is the worse time of my life where I can’t afford anything. I would really like to win to make my family more happier, and stop struggling. I want save for my kids college and can’t even do that. This is so depressing that I can’t do anything for my kids. Please help me!

I am crying my eyes out right now, just the mere thought of me winning the largest super prize..simply overwhelms me. The position my husband and I are in now, well. Lets just say it would change our life for the better, and we would finally be able to have a child. I desire to be a mother so deeply that it literally hurts. My husband will be a fantastic father! To sum it up.. I would have a baby, or adopt, pay off the medical debt that keeps us from buying a home and growing our family, and help all of the people that have helped me over the years, I would make my mother’s grave look like it should, and make sure my young brothers go to college. . . And I would get my sister the help she needs. We would do all of the things that a lot of regular people take for granted.
Brittney
