Avoid PCH Scams! Three Helpful Hints To Know And Remember!

1.  We never call ahead to notify our big PCH winners in advance. If you win a Big Prize from Publishers Clearing House, you’ll know when we arrive at your doorstep with flowers, balloons and a “Big Check” — we’d never spoil the big surprise!

2.  The Prize Patrol and I never send Friend Requests or Private Messages on Facebook — that’s the truth!

3.  Most important — you NEVER have to pay a cent to claim a prize from the real Publishers Clearing House!  If someone asks you for money to cover supposed “taxes” or “fees” on a prize — stop! It’s a scam.

At Publishers Clearing House, we’re all about making dreams come true. In just a few weeks, the Prize Patrol and I will hit the road again to award an exciting SuperPrize to an unsuspecting winner — maybe even $7,000.00 A Week For Life! Keep entering, because we could be knocking on your door.  Until then — and always — remember these important scam prevention hints!

All the best!

  1. Hello Benrva, Thank you very much for reporting the scammers that have contacted you. Stopping them is a team effort and we are happy that you are doing your part. While it may be tempting, we don’t encourage you to interact with them any more than is minimally necessary. Simply tell them that you know they’re not the real PCH and hang up or disconnect your mode of contact with them. To stop scammers from contacting you on Facebook, check out this PCH Blog article: http://bit.ly/StopFBScammers. As a reminder, you can report scammers to PCH at this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. Be careful and stay safe everyone!!

  2. Got a recorded message today from a Danielle Lam with a claim number that we’d won… it gave us a number of a Mr Wayne Harvey to call.

    Assuming scam???

    1. Hi Julie! That’s not the real PCH that contacted you, unfortunately that’s a scammer only pretending to be our Danielle Lam. Please do not call that number, do not give the scammer any personal info including bank account information, and definitely do not send them any money if they ask. Make sure to report that scam contact to us via the following link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. I encourage you to read these Safety Tips too: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection. Stay safe!

    1. Hi Cindy! That’s a scammer calling you, not the real PCH. Just so you know, you never have to pay a fee to claim a prize you may have won from PCH, for any reason. It’s important to know also that PCH does not contact winners of a major prize privately via phone, text, email, mail, or on Social Media. If anyone asks you for money for any reason to claim a prize, you can be sure they’re a scammer. Please don’t give them any money, or any personal information! You can read more about these kinds of scams here: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection. Please report them to us at this link: https://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. Have a great day, and stay safe!

  3. I had a notification that l won a PCH prize. The information didn’t add up as to how PCH notifies when you win. I did not respond. I called PCH about this notification from email. Customer service looked up the information and l did not win. I already knew that was the case. I wanted to let PCH know about the scam. There are too many scams out there with those that keep trying all kind of ways.

    1. Hi Starr, we’re sorry to hear the scammers are bothering you. Please report all contacts from scammers to PCH via this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. PCH does partner with the Federal Trade Commission and we send all scam reports to them so please make sure you let us know anytime a scammer contacts you. Remember, the real PCH never notifies major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask winners to pay to claim their prize. You can see more Safety Tips here: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection. Stay safe!
