Publishers Clearing House’s new scam prevention tab on Facebook can help you if you think you’re being scammed!
Hi PCH-ers!
Without a doubt, Publishers Clearing House fans are the best fans in the world. Because of that, we want to make sure we do everything in our power to keep you safe and educate you on how to stay away from those pesky scammers!
As you may know, sadly there are people who impersonate PCH and members of the Prize Patrol team to try and scam our customers. While we do everything in our power to report these scammers and shut them down, we still may not get to all of them. That’s why we try our best to educate all of YOU on how to spot scammers and not fall for their tricks.
We’ve written blogs, created videos, and more, to try and keep you safe and we thought that compiling all this helpful information on one tab on our PCH Fan Page on Facebook would make it easiest for you to digest!
When you visit our PCH Fan Page on Facebook and click on the “More” button, you will find a tab called “Scam Prevention Tips.” Here you will find the following:

We know that scammers often target our fans through Facebook, but this list shows the ONLY official Fan Pages on Facebook from PCH. Any page not included here is a scammer, and you should not accept their friend request or private message them. If you’d like to interact with the Prize Patrol on Facebook, you can do so through these official pages only!
Whenever you have questions or think you’re being scammed, please consult this tab for more information. If the answer you were looking for isn’t here, you can always ask a question on our Fan Page on Facebook and someone from the PCH Social Media Team will respond to you!

I’ve been scammed several times. This last time by a Peter James who paid off a credit card and then today recalled the payment because I refused to give him 27000.00 in fees. He broke into our acts and took money. I’ve lost close to 15000. To their scammed. They need to be more vigilant and protect their customers.

PCH does partner with the Federal Trade Commission and we send all scam reports to them so please make sure you let us know anytime a scammer contacts you. Remember, the real PCH never notifies major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask winners to pay to claim their prize. I got a call from 888 ### ####. I was told I had won $3.5 million dollars and a 2023 Mercedes.
I was told to call the number and that I would need a form of ID to claim the prizes. I did not call.
How do you contact a person if they have won? I received a call today from John at PCH today and wanted me to answer questions regarding a prize. I told him to send me the info in the mail.
Hi Ione! The real PCH doesn’t notify our major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask for money to claim a prize. All of our major winners are awarded in person by the Prize Patrol, with no prior warning. I received a call from a James Whitaker claiming to be from PCH His phone numbers are (800) ###-#### and (917) ###-####. Does he work for PCH? He said we won in the July 3, 2022 drawing.
