DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN A HOUSE TO WIN FROM PUBLISHERS CLEARING HOUSE?

Do I have to live in a house to win

Believe it or not, we get questions like these quite often. In fact, the whole reason I’m writing this blog is because my apartment-renting friend Deb asked ME “do I have to live in a house to win from Publishers Clearing House?”

The fact is that our unstoppable Prize Patrol team prides itself on delivering prizes to ALL kinds of different places – houses, apartment buildings, hotel rooms – even aboard an Atlanta-to-Los Angeles flight!

Hey … I know from personal experience that we deliver prize only a portion of the time to winners in private homes.  When my fellow PCHer Tony and I pitched in as Prize Patrol “deputies,” we delivered one prize to a country elementary school … and another to an I.R.S. office (don’t ask!).

Prize Patrol always finds winners

(And this is all beside the fact that our winning Sweepstakes numbers are selected electronicallythe folks in our Contest Department have no way of selecting winners based on where or how they live.)

So that’s it in a nutshell: it doesn’t matter whether you “own or rent” … whether you live in a house, apartment rental, a nursing home, a mobile home or a tree house.  If you win one of our prizes, you’re going to get it!

Prize Patrol finding winners wherever they are

Stop doubting and start entering – today and every day you can!

Hope to hear from you ….

  1. I’m from Spring Texas and I’m on my way to move to Moore Oklahoma, which I’ll be staying temporarily at an extended stay hotel. What happens if I win while I’m on my way to Oklahoma? What if I get lucky while I’m on the road? Do I still win even though I do not have a definite address at the time?

    1. Hello Moriah, Our Prize Patrol makes every effort to locate our winners. We haven’t had a situation in over 30 years of awarding prizes where we could not locate our winners. The Prize Patrol would work directly with the Postal Service to locate the owner of the P.O. Box if necessary. We have had winners who live in big cities, small towns, trailer parks, high rise apartments and even the Alaskan tundra and the Prize Patrol has always located the winner.

  2. I’ve been playing for 20+ years! I can’t wait to see y’all show up at my house’s door! And as a disabled veteran, it would be a blessing and a much-needed award!

  3. But how would you guys get into a secured apartment building? Many apartments, including my own, require either a key or passcode to get inside. And in a busy apartment in a bigger city, most tenants won’t know their neighbors by name and may be hesitant to let a random person they don’t know inside.

    1. Hello Tatiyana, PCH and the Prize Patrol do not take awarding winners lightly; it’s very important to all of us that a winner is found and awarded their prize. If a winner is not home, the Prize Patrol will do whatever it takes to locate them. Rest assured, if you are our lucky winner, you will receive your award. On giveaway days we encourage everyone to go about business as usual. With that being said, there are many times that the Prize Patrol has surprised winners at their place of employment. They’ve also found winners in hospitals, at church, even on vacation! Check out this FAQ for more info about winners not being home: http://bit.ly/If-Winner-Not-Home

  4. Yeah, I don’t stand a chance of winning. The tokens on the games on line don’t add up. I can play Word Find and never get close to the points scored by other people. And don’t get me started on the slots…

  5. How do they contact you if you are a winner? I’m asking you because I got a call from someone claiming they were from the PCH and that I was a winner and to expect another call tomorrow. Also, I told the man, “Please don’t fool me because I have a bad heart.” So tomorrow will be better.

  6. I can’t fill out entry for acceptance. It asks for apartment or suite. I just live in a house with street address. No apt or suite. Will not accept. Don’t know what to put on this line for acceptance of entry

  8. Hi PCH, I’m happy to see that I have a chance to win while renting an apartment in a 2 family house. I was thinking that there’s no chance winning after trying for over 8 years. I began to think it was only for homeowners even while living in a nice, peaceful neighborhood 🤷‍♀️. Thanks for the clarification.

  9. I have been receiving phone calls allegedly from Publisher’s Clearing House stating I have won a prize. Just wanted to comment the last caller was very convincing that the prize team would be arriving at my home with banners and balloons. He even gave me three names of the people on the prize team, asked if I wanted it public or private, etc., etc. When he got to asking me to secure prepaid American Express Visa cards totaling $1200 to pay the “taxes” on my prize I was sure it was a scam so I didn’t call him back. Sure enough, two weeks later I got another call. My answering machine records phone numbers with the messages. I have about 4 different messages with four different phone numbers claiming I have won. Just wanted to let you know I am having these experiences.

    1. Hi Nancy! Please report all contacts from scammers to PCH via this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. PCH does partner with the Federal Trade Commission and we send all scam reports to them so please make sure you let us know anytime a scammer contacts you. Remember, the real PCH never notifies major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask winners to pay to claim their prize. You can see more Safety Tips here: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim.
