Happy Thursday, blog readers!

Can you believe that the PCH Prize Patrol has been around for just about 26 years now (WOW – where did the time go?!) Although we’re always thinking of ways to keep things fresh and exciting at Publishers Clearing House, it’s also nice to look back on how it all started and appreciate where things began.

If you remember from previous blogs, the Prize Patrol actually started from an idea Todd Sloane had, who thought we could make more exciting TV advertising if we actually SURPRISED our winners with the Big Checks at their front doors. Boy, was he right!

One thing I noticed from these photos is that the classic Prize Patrol items have remained a staple over the years…of course, the Prize Patrol van, the red roses, and even the Prize Patrol outfits!

But you’ll remember that not so long ago, we actually gave our Prize Patrol van sign and the Prize Patrol uniform a nice upgrade!

I love the FRESH bright colors of the new van sign, and I think the orange tie is the best part of the new outfit…don’t you agree? Of course, I also how the new blazer patches compliment the new van sign, too! I think it was the perfect way to give a little update, while still holding true to the classic style that PCH loves!

When the Prize Patrol first began, everyone recognized and loved our image because it represented hope — and I’m so glad that still holds true today! And we hope you all take the opportunity to make YOUR dreams come true by entering to win, because the Prize Patrol would love to surprise you next!
