I would like to thank you, our dear PCH fans and friends, for being such wonderful, selfless, giving people! We LOVE how generous you are, and we’ve really noticed how so many of you say that one of the first things you’d do if you won BIG is to give back to charity.
In fact, some of you have mentioned on the Blog that you’re already donating your smaller PCH prizes to charity! That’s incredible!
Today, I wanted to proudly present some wonderful blog comments from our super-duper generous fans!
Giesela K. has won a total of $65 so far playing PCH Games, and has donated all her winnings to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. Giesela does this wonderful act of kindness for personal reasons. She writes, “In 2009 I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. I had become a very bitter, angry person with a lot of self-pity. Then, after watching one of the St. Jude commercials on TV, and seeing the children with such grace, faith, hope, courage and positive attitudes, I felt ashamed of how I was dealing with my own medical issues. It gave me a new perspective. So that’s why I have given all my small winnings to them.”
Dennis M. tells us that he’s been praying for his friends and family during hard times. “I lost the one I truly loved for 25 years after she passed from leukemia,” he says, “and I pray one day I’ll win that special amount from PCH and help in donating to the cancer center here. Thank you, PCH, for giving me the chance to win.”
Pamela K. says, “I would be willing and am always ready to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, especially the babies. Their parents won’t have to worry about how their medical bills are paid.”
Tamara B. says, “If I won, I would give back to schools and our police officers. I believe that every child deserves to be on a computer … I also believe in the people who protect and serve me. Being able to provide money to those cops will be satisfactory in my book.”
Veleria E. tells us, “I would help my local Catholic Charities because they have supported my family’s well-being for a long time. They provide food, housing, clothes, emergency funds, mental health support, volunteer services, and so on. I would also donate to my local NAACP. They work very hard here and don’t always get the support they so well deserve.”
Ethel M. says, “ I volunteer helping children and teenagers. There is no better cause, for they depend on our love and protection to grow into healthy, strong adults.”
Kim F. explains that, “giving back is the most rewarding thing anyone can do!”
Jonathan W. says, “I love making a smile and a difference!”
Last, but certainly not least, Kimberly D. says, “If I win, I would donate to Wigs for Kids (I donate my hair to them), Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and local charities in my area.”
Well, my friends, all I can say is WOW! WOW! WOW! You all have hearts of gold! Thank you, everyone, for your kind thoughts. I can assure you we’re always listening to them. We know how much you all want to make a difference, and we do, too. And that’s why I’m happy to say that in less than 2 weeks, we’ll be announcing that something very special is coming back to Publishers Clearing House. Something very near and dear to our hearts!
