Happy New Year from PCH!

Happy New Year

Greetings, fans and friends,

At the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day, many people sing a traditional song called “Auld Lang Syne.” But what is this song all about? Well, thanks to PCHSearch&Win – the only search engine that could make you a PCH millionaire – I went and looked it up.

“Auld Lang Syne” is a poem written by the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns in 1788 and is set to a traditional Scottish folk tune. The name of the song, translated into modern-day English, means “old long since,” or as we’d say it, “long, long ago” or “days gone by.” In Scotland, it became customary to sing “Auld Lang Syne” on New Year’s Eve – a tradition that soon spread to the British Isles, and then around the world.

Singing “Auld Lang Syne” celebrates long-standing friendships – and here at PCH, we want to celebrate YOU, our dear fans and friends, for your loyalty and dedication … for your determination in entering the sweeps online, through our colorful mailings, and through our awesome apps … and for your valuable contributions to the PCH Blog!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Of course, I couldn’t round out 2015 without a song for you. So, to the tune of “Auld Lang Syne,” join me in singing the lines below … and a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2016 to all!
