Hello, PCH Online Sweepstakes fans and blog readers alike! While I’ve interacted with many of you already, I don’t think I’ve had the opportunity to properly introduce myself. My name is Jussie Wilder, and I began working at Publishers Clearing House in the middle of March in 2012. Working as the Social Media Content Coordinator has been a real “prize,” thus far. I’ve learned loads and have met many cool people – at our beautiful brick and mortar building, and through my online presence. In fact, Victoria Zimmerman and I work together each day to answer your questions about the PCH Online Sweepstakes! Got questions? I’m here to help!

In addition to being here to answer your questions on PCH’s various Facebook and Twitter pages, I’m also responsible for posting those supremely informative and always-entertaining articles to the PCHTips website. One of the first articles I posted while working here was “What Does Eyelid Twitching Mean?” Did you know that it is often caused by three things I’m sure many of you are familiar with? I won’t tell you the answers here – you’ll have to go and find them yourself in the article! When you’ve figured it out, check out the other articles like “Why You Need To Get A Handle on Stress” and “Tips for Living a Happier Life”. And of course, you know what to do if you’ve got questions. Just ask me!

Other than that, if you are familiar with the Jussie Wilder At PCH Fan Page on Facebook, you probably already know that I am an immense music head – and while I love being here to answer your questions about the Online Sweepstakes, PCHSearch&Win, the Prize Patrol, scams and the Big Check, I also love chatting about music with all of you every chance I get!

Become A Winner! STAY SAFE And Protect Yourself Against Fraud!

Dear Publishers Clearing House Friends,

It’s DEFINITELY happening. On February 29th Publishers Clearing House will award a life-changing SuperPrize to a lucky winner. It’s an exciting time here at PCH … and at the end of February things will become VERY exciting for the lucky winner.

However, when a BIG PCH prize is being awarded there can sometimes be an increase in activity by scammers who fraudulently use the Publishers Clearing House name.  With the February 29th SuperPrize award date looming, there’s no better time to spread the word and help our PCH friends to stay safe and protect themselves against fraud.

Here are THREE important STAY SAFE tips:

STAY SAFE TIP #1:  If you’re asked to send or wire money or mail someone a prepaid card in order to claim a prize ― DON’T DO IT ― you have NOT been contacted by the real Publishers Clearing House. Sweepstakes are free – that’s the law!  You are never required to make a purchase or pay a fee in order to claim a sweepstakes prize award.  It’s that simple.

STAY SAFE TIP #2:  If someone calls you on the telephone and tells you that you’ve won a prize, HANG UP!  If someone emails you and claims you have won a prize, DON’T RESPOND!  At PCH, our BIG SuperPrize winners are notified in person by the PCH Prize Patrol, who will go to great lengths to findthem, no matter where they may be ― even if they’re at work or on vacation.

STAY SAFE TIP #3:  Tips #1 and #2 STILL APPLY even if someone tells you they’re representing Publishers Clearing House or a member of the PCH Prize Patrol or if they use a familiar and recognized name of one of our PCH employees. If they’re asking you to make a payment to claim a prize ― they’re imposters!

If you are contacted by a scammer please let us know by emailing us at abuse@pch.com. This information helps Publishers Clearing House as we partner with authorities to try and crack down on scammers who fraudulently and illegally use the PCH name.

Celebrate National Cyber Security Awareness Month by following these easy internet safety steps!

October is known for a lot of things…pumpkin-picking, apple pie baking, and trick-or-treating, just to name a few. But for all of us avid internet users, October should really be known for something far more critical – cyber security.

What’s that, you ask? Cyber security is all about practicing safe security techniques online to protect yourself, your family, your community and your country. In this increasingly digital society, internet safety is ever-important. That’s why the United States has been observing National Cyber Security Awareness Month every October since 2004. This annual awareness-raising campaign encourages every internet user to protect their networks and be safe online.

Publishers Clearing House and the (Customer) Bill of Rights

For over 50 years PCH has been caring about our loyal customers and striving to always provide the best possible service – and so the Bill of Rights was created – The Publishers Clearing House Customer Bill of Rights! Which reminds me…

This year marks the 222^nd anniversary of the creation of the United States Bill of Rights, better known as the first 10 amendments to the US Constitution. The purpose of the US Bill of Rights is to set limits on what the government can and cannot do in regard to personal liberties. Using this as inspiration, Publishers Clearing House created The Customer Bill of Rights to remind you of the effort we make to please our most valuable asset – you – our loyal friends and customers. You could say that the PCH Customer Bill of Rights is 10 “amendments” regarding what PCH does and doesn’t do with respect to customer liberties. Here’s a sampling:

1. Clear Communications – You have the right to receive promotions, offers and billing materials that are clear and easy to understand. We write in normal, everyday language and fully explain the important details in a clear and concise manner.
2. Excellent Customer Service – You have the right to speak to a representative to ask questions or receive assistance with your orders, payments or promotions. Our specially trained representatives are empowered to provide prompt, courteous and thorough service. If you are not satisfied with any item you purchase, you may return it within 120 days to receive a full credit or replacement for damaged goods.
3. Respect for Your Privacy – You have the right to have your personal information treated with confidentiality and to have a say in what communications you receive. We use your personal data only for legitimate fulfillment or marketing purposes and regularly offer you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving promotions from us or from other trusted marketing partners.

PCH’s “Customer Bill of Rights” is our fun way of expressing the company’s marketing philosophy and customer service policies. And, of course, you can find 7 more “amendments” on pch.com in the PCH Customer Relationship Center. Remember: You can always contact PCH customer service reps with any questions you might have. They’re very nice people and always ready to help!
