Veteran’s Day Is Coming! PCHSearch&Win Says “Thank You!”
Hello PCHSearch&Win Friends,
Get ready to thank a vet because Veteran’s Day is being observed on Monday, November 12th.
There have been several veterans on staff here at PCH throughout the years. Today I’d like to introduce you to Marc Garcia, a third-generation Marine and Head Web Designer in Online Creative.
Marc served in the Marine Corps from 1994 to 2002. During that time, he was in numerous duty stations around the world while on deployment with 2nd Battalion 6th Marines, an Anti-Armor Platoon, as a Sergeant in a Weapons Company. Across the globe, the primary mission of Marc’s Platoon was to provide security from hostile forces, ranging from armored tanks to anti-aircraft installations. They also provided reconnaissance for NATO Armored forces in Africa and the Middle East.
According to Marc, the motivation, time-management, decisiveness and teamwork necessary to get the job done as a Marine come into play every day here at Publishers Clearing House.
Marc and his colleagues work tirelessly to ensure that the Online PCH User Experience is fun and engaging. Says Marc, “My lead role with the team is to come up with new and exciting interactive designs and promotions for our online and mobile users.” Chances are, Marc and his team are behind many of the interactive experiences you enjoy at the PCH family of sites every day.
We’re grateful for Marc’s hard work and dedication here at PCH. Since he’s a veteran, I asked him how we can best¬†honor our heroes.¬† “Honestly, a simple ‘thank you’ goes a long way,” Marc replied. “But, you can also honor them by remembering that they’re out there so you don’t have to be.” Great advice!
Do you know any veterans? Make sure you thank them! Or why not visit a local veteran’s organization? PCHSearch&Win can help you find a local chapter of the American Legion or Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW.) Many towns also have parades on Veteran’s Day. Visit PCHSearch&Win to find one in your local area.
Check out these great photos of Marc. And to any Veterans reading this — THANK YOU. We at PCH appreciate your service today and every day.
All the best!
