Find Recipes and Cook Up Chances to WIN at PCHSearch&Win!

edwin_turkey

Our friendly mascot Edwin can’t wait to chow down on some turkey and all of the trimmings, and pretty much everyone here at PCH is looking forward to the big feast, too!

So who’s going to be cooking in your household this Thanksgiving?  And who gets to plan the menu and shop for all the ingredients?

If it’s you, then you couldn’t have come to a better place to start. Why? Because PCHSearch&Win gives you all the tools you need to find the answers you need FAST!  And when you log in and search for recipes and planning for that big day, you get loads of chances to enter to win instant prizes and cash!

turkey

Let’s start with the turkey. Most of us try our hardest to avoid the dreaded “dry turkey”. So every year there always seems to be a new fad that guarantees moist breast meat, tender legs and thighs and a golden brown skin. So which method will you choose this year? Traditional … oven cooking bag … aluminum foil wrapped … deep fried … or marinated in brine?

Have you ever wondered what you’re supposed to do with that plastic piece that holds the legs together? And what about the neck and giblets (assuming you remembered to remove them!) It’s fun to search and find out!

Everyone has something to share when it comes to their favorite holiday, including the experts! Get tips from Martha Stewart, Betty Crocker®, Kraft®, McCormick®, Perdue® and Butterball® — just to name a few. You’ll find videos on how to make the stuffing … how to stuff and truss the turkey … how to make gravy … even how to carve a turkey. Find detailed photos, explicit instructions and more to guide you every step of the way!

thanksgiving

And let’s not forget about all of those leftovers. You’ll find plenty of ideas for those, too, and get a glimpse of how other families make the most of what’s in the fridge the day after. I’ll always remember my own family traditions of making turkey club sandwiches with bacon, lettuce and tomato … turkey pot pies … turkey tetrazzini … and, of course, turkey soup!  Mmmmmm.

I’d like to wish all of you loyal searchers out there a Happy Thanksgiving and lots of success in the kitchen this year! And be sure to find everything you need on PCHSearch&Win, the place to cook up creative ideas and lots of chances to win!

P.S. What’s your favorite way to enjoy Thanksgiving leftovers?  We’d love to hear from you!

Thanksgiving is a special day to take
inventory of our lives and think of others who have lost their homes and
families in the Philippines. We have much to be thankful for and now is the
time to thank God for what we have and pray for those less fortunate.

Hi! First, hubby does the turkey and pumpkin pie. (He did forget the inside pack the first year! But after 20+ years he is a pro!). I do the shopping and menu and this year I will also be doing the deviled eggs and mashed potatoes (the items my children would do if they were here). My other son will do the horn of plenty…he does a wonderful job. I need to run off a copy of the gravy recipe, hubby tried to help one year with it and used the powdered sugar instead of flour!Haha! But I always buy a jar…just in case. We used it that year! Leftovers include the turkey, dressing, mayo mixed together on a sandwich. After shopping the best thing to come home to! And I have a feeling there will be more leftover this year, I will need to search and see about freezing some of those “leftovers”. Have a great Thanksgiving and remember all the things to be grateful for. :)
