Interview with PCHsearch&win Contest Analyst Deb Morrison!

Deb Morrison

Hello PCH fans!

I know how many of you get super excited when we announce our big winners, amazing sweepstakes and fun contests! But I also know you love going behind-the-scenes to see who is behind all this winning fun. There is so much that goes into our contests and sweepstakes here at Publishers Clearing House, and in order to keep everything organized, we have some truly hardworking employees who make sure that everything is running smoothly!

I recently had the chance to spend some time chatting with Deb Morrison, who is a Contest Analyst here at PCH. What exactly does a Contest Analyst do you may ask? Well read on and hear all about Deb’s exciting role, responsibilities, and, of course her thoughts on some of our most fantastic sweepstakes and prizes!

Q: Hi Deb! So Glad I could spend some time chatting with you. Can you tell our fans what your role is here at PCH?

Hi Victoria, I work in the Contest Department as a contest analyst. A major part of my job is to support the Marketing teams in setting up contests and to provide the Operations team with the information they need to give entry to PCH users.
Q: What are your daily responsibilities here? Have they changed since you first started with PCH?

My daily responsibilities include reviewing promotional information for accuracy (email packages, website pages, new devices, etc.), entering contest information into a central database and generating “contest keys” used for prize entry, generating new giveaways for contests, and writing rules and uploading them to file server. There are certain PCH properties I am responsible for within the Contest department…Recently, I’m happy to have added PCHsearch&win to my list!

Yes my responsibilities have changed quite a bit. When I first started at Publishers Clearing House in November 2008, I was brought on to handle prize fulfillment for PCHsearch&win, which at the time was a newly integrated member of the PCH family. I purchased merchandise and gift cards, gathered winner affidavit information, compiled check requests from the Finance department and mailed prizes to winners. Keeping inventories, assisting with Customer Service inquiries, and sourcing merchandise were also a part of my job.

Q: How long have you been a member of the PCH team?

I’ve been a member of the PCH team for five years.

Q: What is your favorite part about your job?

My favorite part about my job is working with genuinely nice people who are very good at what they do.

Q: Any new and exciting projects that you are taking on for 2014?

It’s new for me to be covering PCHsearch&win in a contest analyst role. I’m excited to be working again with the PCHsearch&win team from this new perspective seeing promotions in the developing stage, as they are always thinking of fun and interesting ways to award prizes.
Q: So, even though PCH employees aren’t eligible to win any of our contests, if you could win a contest, which one would it be? Why?

If I could win in any PCH contest the one I would most like to win is $100,000.00 A Week For A Year. That adds up to over $5 Million in just one year, WOW!

Q: Is there anything you want to tell our fans about our contests here at PCH?

I want to tell our fans that PCH contests are 100% real and people do win every day.

Q: What is your favorite thing about PCHsearch&win?

My favorite thing about PCHsearch&win is that it gives people a chance to win prizes big and small just by searching the internet – it’s so simple and probably something they would be doing anyway!

Q: Are there a lot of PCHsearch&win winners? What kind of fantastic prizes have you seen them win?

Yes there have been hundreds of thousands of PCHsearch&win winners over the years. They’ve won million dollar prizes as well as cash prizes in a wide range of values – for example $100.00, $1,000.00 $5,000.00, $10,000.00 and more. I’ve seen them win wide screen HDTVs, cameras, iPads, eReaders, laptop computers, and gift cards to great retailers such as Travelocity, Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, Sports Authority, TJ Maxx…the list goes on and there is something sure to please just about everyone!

So searchers, I hope you enjoyed getting to know Deb Morrison as much as I did! Remember to keep entering all of our contests and sweepstakes every chance you get because any time you enter, YOU could be one step closer to being our next big winner!

Happy Searching!
