Behind The Scenes At PCH: Meet Susan Williamson

Hello, PCH friends! Fans like you are probably well aware of the iconic status the PCH Sweepstakes has achieved in popular culture. After all, we’re making dreams come true one SuperPrize at a time. As you might imagine, a HUGE amount of work goes into our promotions behind the scenes. So, today I’m thrilled to introduce you to Susan Williamson, Assistant Vice President of Winning Experiences here at PCH. Susan’s team is responsible for making our life-changing sweepstakes happen. Under her leadership, the winning experiences here at Publishers Clearing House are bigger and better than ever!

Meet PCH's Susan Williamson

Susan joined Publishers Clearing House right after graduating college and is celebrating 27 years with the company this month. Over the years, she has contributed to PCH in a variety of ways, Says Susan, Ive been lucky to have had the opportunity to work in so many different departments within PCH — from Marketing to Creative, Inventory Planning to the Photo Studio and even going on Prize Patrol awards! PCH is truly a great place to work. Collaborating with so many different teams over the years has given me a well-rounded view of the PCH business and has prepared me to now lead the Department of Winning Experiences.”

While our sweepstakes are the stuff dreams are made of, running the Department of Winning Experiences is serious business. Explains Susan, The most important function of the Winning Experiences department is to protect the integrity of the PCH contests.  The team makes sure that all contests are run fairly and that ALL prizes are awarded to the winners in a timely and efficient manner. And they do, every single day, even though it’s no easy task. With thousands of contests being run and awarding millions of dollars’ worth of prizes each year, there’s always a lot to do, exclaims Susan.

As you might expect, Susan’s favorite part of her job is making people winners! Susan and her team are always working closely with the Creative and Marketing departments to collaborate on new and exciting contest opportunities. Stay tuned, because they’re always looking for ways to make our PCH friends happy!

I hope you enjoyed a peek behind the scenes with Susan Williamson of PCH. Susan has a message for PCH fans, like you. ”Weve awarded over 370,000 prizes so far in 2016 and we’re only in June. If you haven’t won yet, dont worry, there are still a lot more prizes to be awarded.

So keep entering, and never give up!

All the best,

Elaina R.

  1. I unfortunately haven’t had a great experience. Years ago now I received a $6,000 + check supposedly from you and deposited same. I’m old school and if it seems too good to be true, it usually is. So I waited and gave time for check to clear and left funds in bank for a couple weeks. Sure enough, check bounced and Chase actually closed my account and said I was part of fraud scam. So randomly, I’ll send back sweepstakes maybe if at all, because I don’t believe I’ll ever win. If you are real, good luck to your participants.
    Just keeping it real.

  2. I recieved a call last Friday that asked me to call about winning a prize, I called and have not received answer . The numbers given to me were 30986. Was this call a scam? Hoping to get a reply soon.

  3. Dear Susan,

Please allow me to send a message out to ALL PLAYERS. Folks REMEMBER, as a Winner you are NOT representing yourself alone. You are reflecting PCH as well, and the wonderful people there… And you represent the U.S.A. as well … what is more “USA” than PCH? These words DO NOT come from PCH AT ALL… these are MY OWN words. Make sure you “STEP UP” and Make Us Proud… Honor is STILL where we stand??? Its where I stand .

Good Luck Folks and Thank YOU Susan and PCH! Oh and Mr. Sloane “you’re the man”! 🙂

  4. Mrs. Williamson,
My name is Thomas S$$$$$$$. I believe I have been scammed by Mr. Sayer, who calls himself Agent Sayer. I would love to explain to you in detail just how far this has gone. Now I am being threatened if I do not send them more money. I would like to talk with someone about this.

    1. Hi Thomas! I’m sorry to tell you that was a scammer, not the real PCH. It’s important to remember that PCH does not contact winners of a major prize via phone, text, email, mail, or on Social Media. Also, if anyone asks you for money for any reason to claim a prize, you can be sure they’re a scammer. Please don’t give them any money, or any personal information! Scammers are very sneaky and will use our good name and reputation to try to deceive people. Stopping them is a team effort so please report any and all scam contacts you receive to PCH at this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. We provide numerous videos, blogs, and tips to recognize these scammers here: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection-2/. Stay safe!

  5. I usually like what I get but I received 5 Lanterns cost 33.15 which was$6.63 each and one was made wrong. I am sending it back and take that much of my bill. I am retired and on fix income and can not pay for something which is no good. Thank you.

  6. Mrs. Susan Williamson, I keep getting a phone call that I’m a winner from PCH. I know that you don’t call the winner, you surprise the winner, right?

    1. Hi Rafael! That is not the real PCH calling you; it’s a scammer that’s only pretending to be from PCH. Please do not call that number, do not give the scammer any personal info including bank account information, and definitely do not send them any money if they ask. Please report that scam contact to us via the following link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. I encourage you to read these Safety Tips too: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim!
