How Long Have You Been “Playing” Publishers Clearing House?

Have you been working hard toward reaching a goal? Does it feel like it’s been taking a long time? We all have dreams and goals, but the only way we’ll see them through to the end is if we stick with them for as long as it takes. The important thing is that you never give up and always keep your eye on the prize!

This attitude really comes in handy when it comes to “playing” Publishers Clearing House (that is, entering our sweepstakes)!  I think back to recent winner Jane Bjork, who had been entering Publishers Clearing House since 1977. What’s funny is that even though Jane had been entering for years, there were times when she felt that she was never going to win. But she kept on entering, hoping that some day her luck would change. And it did!

What’s important is that we don’t get overwhelmed with the scope of the task and that we keep focused on the end prize. If all Jane Bjork thought about was how often she entered, she might have been tempted to give up! She says, “Just keep doing it and hope for the best! Just have faith that somewhere, some day…it’ll work out! That’s what I did!”

How long have you been playing Publishers Clearing House — for as long as Jane, or just for a little while? The winner selection at Publishers Clearing House is completely random, so everyone has an equal chance of winning, no matter how long they’ve been entering! Just look at recent winner Desiree Scudder! She’s young enough to want to build a video game room with her $1 Million prize!

So don’t forget, consistency is key! You want to make the most of every possible winning opportunity that PCH sends your way! The famous comedian Jerry Seinfeld is well known in self-motivation circles for what they call the “Seinfeld Method.” When he was just starting out, Jerry would get a calendar and put an “X” on every day that he wrote a good joke. His goal was to put an “X” on as many consecutive days as possible. He would start to see “chains” of X’s, and that would give him the motivation to make sure he kept the daily productivity streak going!

Are you able to keep your entry routine a daily one? Whether you’re able to enter each and every day or only when you get the chance, we want to know how long you’ve been entering for! Please make a point of going to the comment section below and telling us how long you’ve been playing Publishers Clearing House. And remember, you never know if your PCH luck will change!

  1. I just started playing a few months ago. I was looking into new ways to make money and the app popped up. I knew about PCH because my husband’s Grandma mailed in entries all the time. She’d sit at her dining room table and talk about what she would do with the 5,000 dollars a week for hours. I sure miss her. She never won PCH but she sure lit up every time she started talking about winning.

    1. I also faithfully entered the snail mail entries which were to Reader’s Digest, not PCH. I still have an 8X10 of Ed McMann in the attic with encouraging words (but no winnings).

  2. I have been playing a lot longer than your records state. I started playing in 1982 but had a different last name and when I remarried it was like I started all over again. Still playing 2023 that makes 41 yrs !!!

  3. The local hospital and church. Now that I am old, retired, and disabled, PCH has become my entertainment. My fixed income barely covers the necessary things but I still have faith in God’s love and mercy. May God bless you and yours.

  4. I have been playing for many years from mail in entries to Pc entries and now smart phone. It has consumed my whole day and sometimes night. Please tell me how much time one should spend playing.

    1. Hello Rick, Every time you process an entry, your name is issued an extra Super Prize Number. You are not obligated to enter all of the promotional e-mails sent. Best Wishes and good Luck going forward.

  5. REMEMBER HOW MANY MILLION DOLLAR GAMES THERE ARE, EACH PAYING WINNER THE NEXT YEAR, NOW COVERING MORE THAN 30 YEARS WITHOUT WINS, WHICH MEANS NO ONE GETS PAID FOR THEIR JOB. TO WIN TODAY, A LOT OF PEOPLE NEED A LITTLE MONEY NOW AND THEN.

    1. Hi Bertie! Thank you so very much for your loyalty. PCH values all of our fans and their incredible support. 6. Entering since May 15, 1966! I am a red-diamond VIP elite with over 438 million tokens won. All have been reentered, and I enter all chances to win faithfully every day. But I have never won a thing. Why do I subject myself to this torture? You’ve got to play to win, right? Don’t give up!

    1. Hi Darrell! While I can understand that it may get discouraging at times, you’ve got to be “in it to win it”. Keep in mind that we do receive millions of entries, but only one person can win each giveaway. However, every entry you submit has the same fair chance as every other entry we receive, so keep trying. Our winners are randomly selected and there’s no way to know who we’re going to surprise next. To see all of your entry options each day, click here: http://bit.ly/Enter-A-PCH-Sweeps. 7. Hi… I began playing PCH in 1967 at 24 years old, and this July I will turn 80, and I have not given up and still have hope of winning. Thank you for the opportunities that you give me and others. The desire to persevere. (The Inner Key) Hats off to you ALL! Winning would be a blessing to me, and also give me the opportunity to be a blessings to all my family and to others.

  8. I’ve been trying to win for almost 30 years, I enter every day. I lost my house and home of 13 yrs to foreclosure. They forced me out, I’m a disabled wartime dad with stage 4 cancer, out of our home in Indiana and now I live in my car. Due to stupid rules in my state for renting my income is not enough for their rules, and more and more people are becoming homeless. But PCH if you made me the winner of the $10000 a week for life on February 28th 2023, I could get a home again and I desperately need a new vehicle also. So this money will finally get me in a home again. And I hate to ask for help and I try hard everyday PCH to win, I’ve spent many many hours answering emails from PCH and trying to win. I need to win PCH. In some of your emails you even say let us know you want to win and I try constantly and I would be FOREVER grateful to PCH for winning this time. I’ve tried for close to 30 years and my favorite person at PCH is Dave Sayer who wrote the PCH song, he’s funny and kind and he’s a good and kind man. He acts like he’s as happy as the people who win. Right now I have a bad life being disabled and need some things urgently so winning would mean almost everything to me, and I’d like to give some money also to my cousin who has been in the hospital since the summer, and help my 2 daughters too, they’re having a hard time also at the moment so winning would change my life for the better and make it so I could immediately get a new reliable vehicle which I need so badly. My car right now has a lot of miles on it….. Thank you PCH for allowing me to leave a comment. Take Care.

  9. Since I was 17 years old, I have played. I’ve been hoping for about ten years now. There are some home improvements that my husband and I need to make.
