How Long Have You Been “Playing” Publishers Clearing House?

Have you been working hard toward reaching a goal? Does it feel like it’s been taking a long time? We all have dreams and goals, but the only way we’ll see them through to the end is if we stick with them for as long as it takes. The important thing is that you never give up and always keep your eye on the prize!

This attitude really comes in handy when it comes to “playing” Publishers Clearing House (that is, entering our sweepstakes)!  I think back to recent winner Jane Bjork, who had been entering Publishers Clearing House since 1977. What’s funny is that even though Jane had been entering for years, there were times when she felt that she was never going to win. But she kept on entering, hoping that some day her luck would change. And it did!

What’s important is that we don’t get overwhelmed with the scope of the task and that we keep focused on the end prize. If all Jane Bjork thought about was how often she entered, she might have been tempted to give up! She says, “Just keep doing it and hope for the best! Just have faith that somewhere, some day…it’ll work out! That’s what I did!”

How long have you been playing Publishers Clearing House — for as long as Jane, or just for a little while? The winner selection at Publishers Clearing House is completely random, so everyone has an equal chance of winning, no matter how long they’ve been entering! Just look at recent winner Desiree Scudder! She’s young enough to want to build a video game room with her $1 Million prize!

So don’t forget, consistency is key! You want to make the most of every possible winning opportunity that PCH sends your way! The famous comedian Jerry Seinfeld is well known in self-motivation circles for what they call the “Seinfeld Method.” When he was just starting out, Jerry would get a calendar and put an “X” on every day that he wrote a good joke. His goal was to put an “X” on as many consecutive days as possible. He would start to see “chains” of X’s, and that would give him the motivation to make sure he kept the daily productivity streak going!

Are you able to keep your entry routine a daily one? Whether you’re able to enter each and every day or only when you get the chance, we want to know how long you’ve been entering for! Please make a point of going to the comment section below and telling us how long you’ve been playing Publishers Clearing House. And remember, you never know if your PCH luck will change!

  1. I am Renee W$$$$ R$$$$$$$, $$$$$$$$$$$$$@ yahoo.com, maiden name Renee W$$$$. I have been playing PCH since I was 12yrs old and I am’ 66 now. What happened to my previous record of playing PCH? I still use my maiden name, what happen to my long time history of playing. I would play through the mail. I don’t think we had cell phones back then. Help me understand?

  2. I’ve been playing PCH since at least 1975. I remember getting the big envelopes in the mail. You could buy stuff or just search for all the stamps to affix to your entry in hopes of winning, something, anything. I still play, I’m not always able to search all 7, 10 or more buttons, but I always search some. My reasons for playing and hoping to win over the years has changed many times but now if I were able to win, I would start a senior pet rescue for pets left after their owners have passed. I’ll keep playing!

  3. Have been unlucky since 1975. A former neighbor won $1,000,000 and, in a 3-mile distance, sister’s friend won $10,000 after entering only one time. There was another $1,000,000 winner in our town and others throughout the state. After all this time, 48 years, almost a half century, the odds of winning seem futile, unless a miracle. Not one to give up, foolishly (?) keep entering. HAHA!

  4. I have been playing PCH since I was young. I can still remember being young, but only with one brain cell still holding in there. I am now 80. I used to say, “Somebody has to win!” so that my children would leave me alone. In the beginning, I did the snail mail. Hope springs eternal, and decades into this, I actually received two ten-dollar checks at different times and took a picture of them to show people that you can win. Proof of winning, no matter the amount, is like showing hope on paper. What is important for some people is the proof that hope is still alive and that the spirit of living remains in that hope. So I hope PCH continues to make the fun of life and the hope part of our patchwork quilt for living. It gives color to life’s palette. The color green comes to mind.

  5. HELLO!!! MY NAME IS SHERYL L$$$$. I LIVE AT $$$$ R$$$$$$ CIRCLE IN OHIO> I HAVE BEEN A PCH PLAYER SINCE 2005 AND HAVE NOT YET WON BUT I’M HOPING THAT WILL CHANGE VERY SOON!!! SO WITH THAT, I’M KEEPING THE FAITH AND STAYING IN IT TO WIN IT AND WIN IT I WILL VERY SOON!!!!

  6. I have been entering PCH sweepstakes since 1974. I haven’t given up in all these years, hoping for the big one. I am up to over 7 1/2 billion tokens, and I just started online about 5 years ago. I was sending my entries by mail. I play every day of the week. Maybe one day we will be blessed.

  8. I saved up 60 million tokens to try to win the Ford Explorer. You’re telling me that someone had more than me. Why did I not win? Did someone have more than me? Do I have to go the extra mile now? Or wasn’t my total of 60 million counted right? I did everything I could to win. I’ll tell you right now that I’m never going to do a survey. I did one survey from beginning to end, and I was denied the 100,000 tokens because I didn’t answer the last question right. I spent 30 minutes of my valuable time on a stupid survey that didn’t amount to anything. Surveys are not for me. And if that’s another way to try to win, then I’m doing it wrong. Get rid of the surveys; they are worthless on PCH. Everything else is great to do. The key to victory is to remain positive and persistent. But I had 60 million tokens, and I still didn’t win. This is going to take 100 million tokens, I suppose.

    1. Hi Steve! Keep in mind that we do receive millions of entries but only one person can win at a time. Our winner selection process is completely random; there’s no way to know where the next winner is going to come from. I encourage you to keep trying and don’t give up. There are multiple ways to enter and every entry has the same fair chance of winning. To see them all, click here: http://bit.ly/Enter-A-PCH-Sweeps. Good luck to you and all who enter!!
