Meet Toby Moore, Our Newest SuperPrize Winner

On the afternoon of “PCH Pay Day” (August 31) Toby Moore was at home on a lunch break from his nearby office when there was a knock on the door.  A package delivery?  A salesman?  But wait!  He saw balloons! roses! cameras! two guys in blue blazers!  It was the Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol – there to present Toby with a Big Check – with his name on it and the words “$1 Million”!!!

“OMG!  I cannot believe this!” Toby exclaimed fighting back tears as thousands of Facebook fans watched on a special live edition of Inside PCH.  “I don’t have the words …” he stammered as he got weak in the knees.

What a fabulous surprise for this hard-working Ohioan just days before his 50th birthday!  “I never thought I’d win,” but said “I always dreamed it would happen one day.”  So he entered the PCH Sweepstakes religiously, and it paid off!

In a follow-up phone call, Toby says he still can’t believe what happened.  But the roses, balloons and Big Check are still there to verify that he’s not dreaming.  The post-win reaction of relatives and friends has been exciting, with lots of phone calls and online congratulations.  Returning to his financial services workplace after the “winning moment” Toby was greeted by his boss joking “Why did you come back?”

But Toby will continue working.  He has a home he bought last year – which the SuperPrize will help pay off.  He has already equipped it with some fine purchases he made at Publishers Clearing House.  He also plans to share his prize with family and charities. And he will continue to enter the PCH Sweepstakes because he enjoys our websites where he can play and – hopefully — win again!

Congratulations, Toby, and welcome to our huge and ever-growing family of winners!  And to the rest of you, take his advice: “Keep playing!  Be persistent! And never let go of your dreams!”

Wishing all you PCH Blog fans the best of luck.
