What Have You Learned From Searching???

Some days you wake up with a million things on your mind. You throw on clothes, maybe make a cup (or two) of coffee, and hustle to your computer. Once there, you launch PCHsearch&win  and get to work finding answers to all of the questions in your head. These days are great. You’re full of inspiration with a burning desire to explore and learn everything the internet has to offer.

And then there’s every other day. You drag yourself out of bed (after hitting “Snooze” a couple of times) and do your best to embrace the silence as you think about … absolutely nothing! You’re not particularly interested in the news. There are no annoying questions that you’re determined to resolve. Simply put, there’s just not too much on your mind. And that means it’s the best time to start searching!

Suggested Searches

If you’re having trouble getting started, take a look at the day’s suggested search ideas and see if they inspire you to search for something new. The suggested searches provided by PCHsearch&win represent some of the hottest trending stories in the country, along with deals and offers that you can take advantage of locally.

Trending local and national topics offer great search ideas!

Learning-Based Searching

Along with providing reliable search results, often within one second,PCHsearch&win  can be an amazing portal to expanding your knowledge on just about any subject you can think of. For example, here’s a true story of something I learned from searching.

On one of those blasé mornings a couple of years ago, I woke to find two adorable cats lying out on my patio. They weren’t mine, had no tags, and the only similarity was that their left ears had been clipped. I’d never seen such a thing so I assumed it came from fighting other street cats. The only other thing I could decipher is that they looked like they could use some food, water, and love.

Off I went to PCHsearch&win and started with the simple search of “stray cats.” Along with a couple of references to the ‘80s rockabilly band of the same name came a slew of things that I didn’t know – even stuff that I didn’t know I didn’t know. Each new search opened up an area of interest and I kept digging. Some of the things I learned include:

  • The difference between a stray cat and a feral cat
  • Why their left ears had been clipped
  • The challenges of trying to bring stray cats indoors
  • Why there are stray cats but not stray dogs
  • Where/how they sleep
  • What they do during stormy weather

And so, so, so much more! I learned everything I could, from how to socialize them, how to care for them, and even which pet stores sell discounted, premium cat food. Now, the pair that I’ve named Pumpkin and Smokey get wet food, dry food, treats, cold water when it’s hot out and hot water when it’s cold out, and their own heated cat house!

Smokey sleeping under a chair!

Pumpkin sleeping on the house!

These two still may be stray cats, but they’re my stray cats! And they don’t know it, but PCHsearch&win  helped give them a home. So, go to search&win today! Start searching and let the interesting results carry you further on down the road to knowledge.

Happy searching,

  1. I just want to thank you for taking the time to share your story with others and I myself sure am glad I stumbled upon your story. You see I have been feeling down along with fighting a cold of sorts it has cause me to not work the past 3 days, I am a cleaning lady for whom, what, where needs cleaning. At this time I am settled in cleaning in the mornings 4 days a week for a establishment call The Station Pub & Grub. I really enjoy it there, although just went to a new owner and she is doing her best to change the old vibe of it (which was not good)slowly it is coming around and she is constantly confronted with the negative of old patrons but keeps her hopes and head up some days it may just be myself and her. That brings me back to what I was saying being down some depression of course does not help. So I do not drag this going to be short message in to any more lengthy, I thank you for cheering me up with your story and photos of your stray babies. I wish you a wonderful day. Regina
