7 Things You Didn’t Know About Howie!

Yesterday I was on the set shooting a video for a fun new PCH experience (more on that another time!), and I got to hang around with one of my favorite people, Howie Guja of the PCH Prize Patrol!

We were going over our lines with PCH’s own “Spin Doctor” when I realized that many of our Publishers Clearing House fans out there might not know everything there is to know about the one and only Howie!

Howie Is Funny!

You see his excitement on winning moments, and he’s always quick with a hug for the winner. But did you know he’s quite the cut up? Actually, everyone on the Prize Patrol family has a great sense of humor, and Howie fits right in!

Howie Is Talented!

Along the same lines, Howie can do impressions! Whether it’s physical comedy or doing someone’s voice, it just seems to appear out of nowhere and puts you in stitches.

Howie Is An Artist!

We’ve told you before about Howie’s ability with a guitar, but did you know he’s an artist as well? In his free time, Howie loves to use image editing software to make pictures pop, and that’s how he actually got his start here at PCH!

Howie Doesn’t Use A Mouse!

…and because of Howie’s years of doing photo-work, he hates using a mouse! When he’s at his desktop, he exclusively uses a large digital pad and pen for all of his work. You might not even notice it at first, but it’s quite a sight when you first see it! Honestly, I’m not sure how he does it!

Howie Documents His Travels

As I said before, Howie is quite the photographer. When he’s out and about traveling for the Prize Patrol, he LOVES tracking down beautiful old homes to document in photographs!

Howie Is A Night Owl!

…and whenever you’re on the road with Howie, be prepared to be out for a while! Howie loves to explore whatever town he’s in, whether it’s with the rest of the team or flying solo. But one thing’s for sure, he might be out late doing it!

Whew, that’s a lot of Howie! He’s a great guy and a good friend to all of us here at Publishers Clearing House. If you’d like to meet him, you should enter! That’s probably the best way to try and get him to your door!

We have Alabama State Park lot’s of wild life and Howie I know you love to fish so come on down to Alabama and knock on my door…

  2. Howie:
There are so many choices in Arizona, but is one of the best places for photography.
Another is the White Mountains at Big Lake, AZ.-5-1/2 hrs east of Phx.
At 9500 feet the closest town is Greer. A one road small exclusive location that’s pretty incredible.
There is an un paved road between Greer and Big Lake (7-1/2 miles) that is scenically comparable to spots from Glacier-alps-Alaska-
In summer the grass is 3 ft high w golden buttercups in Sept. Nothing but nature as far as the eye can see. No homes-, just nature-rolling fields that kiss the sky.
There’s no place as beautiful in AZ
I’ve lived or spent time in NW., Alaska, BC, and it’s hard to believe such a beautiful alpine existence and experience is in AZ at the eastern edge of the larger Ponderosa Forest in America. 45 lakes within 45 miles.
Truly a scenic outdoors person’s Shangrilla
Best, to you on your travels. Joe G

  3. Hi!
My name is Brigida C$$$$$, on February 6th 2023 I received a call from Dave Sayer, executive director of PCH. He notified me of an $18,500,000.00 prize, plus $5000.00 at week for life and a Ford Explorer. Then he introduced me to “Peter Simon” Claim Manager, with a security code #$$$$$$$. I have been talking with him ever since.
Then I discovered that Peter Simon and Howie Guja are one and the same person.
    I am kind of confused.
I am waiting patiently for the prize to be delivered. I hope soon!

    1. Hi Brigida! I’m sorry to tell you those are scammers that have contacted you, NOT the real PCH. It’s important to remember that PCH does not contact winners of a major prize via phone, text, email, mail, or on Social Media. Also, if anyone asks you for money for any reason to claim a prize, you can be sure they’re a scammer. Please don’t give them any money, or any personal information! Scammers are very sneaky and will use our good name and reputation to try to deceive people, including pretending to be members of our Prize Patrol like Dave or Howie. Stopping them is a team effort so please report any and all scam contacts you receive to PCH at this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. We provide numerous videos, blogs, and tips to recognize these scammers here: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection. Stay safe!

    1. Hello Georgette! That is definitely a scammer who contacted you! PCH will never send friend requests, private messages, or winner notifications via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc; we also never ask for money to claim a prize. Do not give this person any personal information and certainly do not send them any money!! Instead, report them to PCH by completing a Scam Incident Report. Here’s how: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. Check out this FAQ for info on how to stop scammers from contacting you on Facebook: http://bit.ly/StopFBScammers. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim!
