A tile is only available if there are no other tiles on top of it and at least one side is free. In other versions of our Mahjongg solitaire games, such as Mahjongg Minute 3D, tiles must each have two adjacent sides free.

Tip #1: Use the Hints and Shuffle Buttons

Some of our mahjongg games feature a “Hints” button. If you are having trouble making matches, don’t hesitate to hit it! Doing so will highlight two tiles for you to match.

However, hints are only available in some versions of mahjongg, such as Mahjongg Minute.

That said, all of our mahjongg games have a “Shuffle” button that will allow you to mix up the tiles on the screen. This can be very useful when you can’t find a match.

Tip #2: Increase Your Score with Bonus Tiles

In many of our mahjongg solitaire games there are bonus tiles. While bonus tiles won’t help you clear the board any faster, they will give your score a considerable boost, so be sure to match tiles with the word “Bonus” written across them whenever they appear.

Alternatively, you can also score bonus points by matching identical pairs back-to-back.

Either way, you are sure to rack up more points using this nifty strategy.
