PCH Family Works Closely to Bring You Giveaway Excitement and Fabulous Bargains

Publishers Clearing House? Talk to most people here at PCH and they’ll admit that we should change the name to Publishers Clearing Home!

Why? It’s simple. Behind all the giveaway excitement and fabulous bargains, there’s a strong tie that binds the PCH Team. People don’t work at PCH for years. … decades are more like it. My friend Al has been at PCH for 43 years … Jan has been here 36 years … Mike has been here 30 years … and I’ve worked for PCH for 16 years. Why? Because we care about the company, our customers and each other like we’re family. Our founders, Harold and LuEsther Mertz started Publishers Clearing House as a small family business and it never lost that family feeling. (Read more about PCH History)

Every morning, before the work starts, you can hear colleagues gathered in the dining room or small hallway clusters talking about their children, grandchildren and hobbies. Carol’s son Eric just had a baby boy (well, actually, his wife did). Kim just bought the shoes to go with her wedding dress. Mark just got the children’s book “Everybody Poops,” because his son is potty training. You can rejoice in the good things happening to coworkers … and sympathize with the trials they’re experiencing. These close friendships help keep Publishers Clearing House operating smoothly because we rely on teamwork. Teamwork is much easier when you really like the people that you work with!

Just a few days ago one of our coworkers passed away unexpectedly. There were a lot of tears and sadness here. It felt like we lost a member of the family, because we did. He will be missed by all of us.

Of course, every single person who enters a Publishers Clearing House giveaway or takes advantage of one of our fabulous bargains becomes part of this special PCH family. And to all you folks who’ve entered the PCH Sweepstakes, played our free online games and tried our merchandise and magazines, we shout – “Welcome Home!”

Good luck!

  3. Hi Ronea,
All promotional mailings from Publishers Clearing House carry a prominent “Sweepstakes Facts” insert that among other information states the prize value and odds of winning. The insert reminds all recipients that: You Have Not Yet Won. All Entries Have The Same Chance of Winning. The winner has not been identified. We don’t know who the winner is. If you enter our Sweepstakes, your entry will have the same chance to win as every other entry.
While we have promoted our famous sweepstakes for over 40 years as a way to draw attention to our unbeatable magazine deals and value-based merchandise offerings we add excitement into our bulletins to get a huge response of our sweepstakes. However, reminding everyone that no purchase is necessary to enter. Entering our sweepstakes is completely optional and most of all Free! Good Luck!

  5. In your article, you stated that each person would prefer to be THE winner of your prizes. Although, it would help my children and I out, I would actually vote for my mother and father to win. I love them very much! My father and mother have done so much for so many, never asking in return. Along with GOD, they were my strength when our home burnt down last year and we lost everything! So, truthfully…sometimes people aren’t really hoping for a ‘prize’ or for something ‘good’ to happen to them personally, but perhaps to someone they love who they feel really deserves a brighter step into the next day! God bless all of you and I pray that you continue to always bring hope and smiles to people everywhere!
P.S. Perhaps you would consider breaking your winnings up again like you did with your stimulus contest and help organizations who provide for people desperately needing help like the Red Cross. The night my children and I watched as our home with our treasures saved from over the years, our pets, and everything that had defined who we were went up in flames, I realized how great the Red Cross program and those like it truly are.

  7. Hi, I have just found you on the internet and you all sound lovely people. So why am I dubious? Why do I think everything I see like this, is a scam? There are so many of them aboutunfortunately. Scammers are cruel, because they prey on elderly, vunerable people. We all like a bargain and I think we all like winning things, and because I read here about ‘Giveaway fabulous bargains’, immediately I am suspicious! Can you prove to me you are genuine? My poor sister is 85 and has been chasing dreams with the scammers for years and spent much of her meagre retirement pension on their false promises! The scumbags do not deserve the space they stand on in this beautiful world of ours, may they all rot in hell! If you are genuine then at 83 I would love to know more. It could be interesting and fun. Sorry if I have insulted you!
