Veronica Trombino: A look at the Newest Publishers Clearing House Winner

Publishers Clearing House Winner Veronica Trombino is the gracious nurse who won $10,000 from the 2011 Publishers Clearing House St. Patrick’s Day Sweepstakes. Dave Sayer wrote about his experience awarding the Publishers Clearing House winner with $10,000 in another PCH blog post, but I thought it would be great for you PCHers to get to know more about Veronica Trombino: straight from Veronica Trombino herself!

Although Veronica Trombino “absolutely never thought” she would win, she simply entered the $10,000 St. Patrick’s Day Sweepstakes, and actually won! I remember that day Danielle Lam from the Prize Patrol told us at the PCH headquarters that finding Veronica Trombino was a bit of a struggle; but seeing her reaction was well worth it. As Dave Sayer approached Veronica, he noted that she looked at him peculiarly. Now that she has metaphorically “picked her jaw off the floor” Veronica explained that she “was totally shocked…it seemed so surreal…I could not believe Dave Sayer and the Prize Patrol were standing in front of me. I thought it was a dream.”

Along with the patients in the waiting room, Veronica Trombino says that her friends and relatives “are all shocked and could not believe someone they know actually won the PCH award.”  Now that there is evidence of Publishers Clearing House prizes being “real” Veronical Trombino commented “Now everyone is entering online…I made them all believers!”

In addition to making people believe Publishers Clearing House is most certainly real, another question most of us have for the PCH winner is what exactly she will do with her Big Sweepstakes Prize. Veronica stated; “Pay some very important bills that I was concerned about and help my family. Thank you so much!”
