PCHblog Shares Important Tip for Savvy PCH Fans!

PCH asks don't leave your address on the blog

As a writer on PCH blog, I speak for the entire team when I say that we LOVE the ongoing conversation with YOU — the PCH fans!  It’s fun to chat online about hopes and dreams … and winning the BIG one! But, as much as I’m sure you’d love to see Todd, Dave and Danielle at your doorstep with flowers, balloons and a millionaire-making “Big Check,” PLEASE don’t reveal your full address and other personal information when you comment on the PCH blogs or our PCH Fan Pages on Facebook.

We know you’re all enthusiastic about winning, but I can assure you, leaving your full address in the comments section of the PCH blogs or the PCH Fan Pages on Facebook is just not necessary! If you’ve entered a PCH Sweepstakes, we already have your contact information, which we assure you is kept safe and secure. Publishers Clearing House follows all cyber security rules and regulations so you can trust interacting with us. We’re even a member of the Online Trust Alliance.  The fact is, if you win a big SuperPrize, the Prize Patrol will have your address and do whatever it takes to get to you!

Plus, the PCH blogs and our PCH Fan Pages on Facebook are public sites, meaning anyone can read what you write, including any personal information you share. So, if you share sensitive information in these public forums, you may be leaving yourself vulnerable to criminals who can easily find it and commit identity theft. When you leave your full address or other personal information online, it can also be used by scammers who pretend to be from Publishers Clearing House and try to scam unsuspecting victims. And we at Publishers Clearing House want to do everything in our power to protect you from that.

Friends, we really, really love hearing from you! So we hope you’ll continue to comment and keep conversation going! Since online security is a shared responsibility, we’ll do our part to keep the internet a safe place and make sure all of your interactions with us are secure, whether you’re registering, sending in an online entry in the PCH sweepstakes, or shopping online at pch.com. We just ask you to do your part, and avoid leaving personal information in the comments sections of our PCH blogs and Fan Pages on Facebook.  Let’s work together  … as a “winning” team!

All the best,

elaina
