$1 Million Winner Paula Sullivan Speaks Out!

When Paula Sullivan retired from 21 years of service as a Registered Nurse, she was hoping to take it easy. Well, life just got a whole lot easier, because on April 27th she was our new SuperPrize winner of $1,000,000.00!

Paula isn’t your typical SuperPrize winner, as she had actually been expecting the Prize Patrol to show up…but only for the previous prize event day!

“I was really thinking the time before this award, I was going to win! I was so excited, but no one showed up. So for this time I said, ‘nah’. So I didn’t put on any makeup or do my hair. Then about 10:30, all of the sudden, they show up! And I was playing PCHlotto right then!”

It’s true, Paula was on the PCHlotto site  just as the Prize Patrol was knocking on her door! Here’s the clip!

Becoming a SuperPrize winner has made one big, important change in Paula’s life – she says, for the first time, she isn’t poor anymore!

“We were poor growing up. Well, until I won this money, I was still poor! But I had an opportunity and went to college, got my degree, and the rest is history. I was born and raised in Miami. Then I moved to Tampa where my grandmother was, but I didn’t care for Tampa, so I moved to Davenport. I started working for the hospital, and I’ve lived in this house for 17 years!”

17 years is a long time, and Paula said she will probably stay in her home for quite a while still. And speaking of a long time, Paula has also been an active PCH entrant since 2009!

“I started back in 2009! I didn’t know you had games, so I went through the mail. I guess last year I started playing the games. I play for 6-8 hours a day. I play PCHlotto and PCHkeno.  I was trying to win the $500 Wal-mart gift card!”

Paula doesn’t have many grandiose plans for the money and hopes to save most of it. But she does plan on grabbing a few essentials.

“I need some dental work, I need new glasses. A new computer. My dog Jovan is a toy poodle, so I bought him a new t-shirt! It says ‘I Tried To Be Good, But I Got Distracted!’”

Since this SuperPrize winner has been an active Publishers Clearing House entrant for nearly ten years, we thought we’d ask her what her advice would be for those out there hoping to win:

“Number one, keep playing. You may not win this time, or next time, or for another year, but you can’t win if you don’t play! I didn’t think I would either but look at me. I won! I never won anything before, but I kept on playing because it’s fun! And it’s free! It doesn’t cost you anything. And who knows – you could be that lucky person! That’s what you’ve got to think about. You could be that lucky person that takes home $1,000,000.00.”

So, take those words of advice from someone who did win $1 Million—enter today,  because who knows…that next winner could be you!
