PCHSearch&Win Adds Another Talented Team Member: Meet Lauren!

Hello Searchers!

How many of you like meeting new people? Is there anything more exciting then getting to know someone brand new? Personally, I love meeting new folks and learning all about their background, skills, interests and personality! Lucky for me, just last week I got to meet and spend some time talking with Lauren W., PCHSearch&Win’s newest team member!

Lauren, who holds a Psychology degree from Adelphi University and a Master’s in Industrial Psychology from Baruch, joined the PCHSearch&Win team only about a month ago. In our time together I got to learn all about her position here, her contributions to the PCHSearch&Win team and her life outside PCH headquarters.

While Lauren’s position is recent, she is no stranger to PCH. “I started here as an intern in 2011 in the Analytical Service Department,” she told me.  She then moved on to become a Statistician for Analytical Services and finally landed her new spot on the PCHSearch&Win team as the Lead Business Data Analyst.

When I asked her what her typical day is like here at PCH she told me “In the beginning it was a bit crazy, but now I am settling into a routine.” As the Lead Business Data Analyst, Lauren’s primary role is daily reporting and focusing on tracking traffic. Her focus is also on revamping reports. “We’re trying to make a more enhanced and concise appearance,” she said.

So what got her so interested in PCHSearch&Win’s team to begin with? “It’s an exciting place to be in the company right now” she explained, “It’s nice to get a mix of the numbers and how it relates to marketing.” When I asked her about the switch from her old position, she told me she was “ready to grow to something else,” but that she likes that she still gets to keep elements of her old job!

So searchers, what does our newest team member have to say about PCHSearch&Win? Does she have any tips for our users? Lauren believes that PCHSearch&Win is a way to get the information you need and participate in the PCH sweepstakes.

Searchers can use Search&Win for all of their web searching needs,” she said. “The same stuff you would use Google for. We also are really excited about PCH Frontpage, which users can use for searching and their daily dose of news, horoscopes and local events.”

Outside the PCH headquarters, Lauren is an all-around fun person. “I enjoy playing volleyball,” she said. She is also into creative arts. “I could go into A.C. Moore and spend like $150 easily,” she laughed.

Of course I couldn’t wait to ask her how much she loved Edwin (I mean he’s so cute who doesn’t?). Being an owl fanatic (and a HUGE Edwin fan) myself, I couldn’t wait to hear what her favorite Edwin costume was.

She answered so quickly! “It’s definitely him driving in a little red convertible, or, maybe the little tuxedo with the champagne!” I couldn’t agree more with her. Even though Edwin is always so super adorable, his little red convertible made me melt too!

So there you have it searchers, I hope you enjoyed this quick little introduction to our talented new PCHSearch&Win team member!  Help give Lauren that warm PCH welcome with a shout out in our comments below!

Happy Searching!
