New Prize Patrol Member Danielle Lam Answers Readers’ Questions
As a new Prize Patrol member and a new contributor to the PCH Blog, I was very happy that you had questions for me.
Thank you for all the responses to my PCH blog post asking what YOU want to know about me or the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. A number of you have shown interest in learning about my background and how I became the newest member of the PCH Prize Patrol Elite Team. Here’s my story…
I graduated from Loyola College in Maryland in 2005 where I majored in Communications and minored in English. As a native of Long Island, NY, I know it is the home base of many reputable companies; but I must say, when I saw there was a job opening at PCH I jumped at the opportunity to apply for a job. Like many others, I have been a PCH Fan for years along with my parents, grandparents and friends. To me, Publishers Clearing House embodies professionalism, excitement, joy and of course, hope…and I hoped I would be able to have a career opportunity at Publishers Clearing House, since it’s such a unique and outstanding company.
Luck was certainly on my side because I was hired in 2008 as a member of the Online Product Mix department. Essentially, my responsibilities were to analyze results and select the best PCH merchandise assortment possible that you would see in your emails. Happily I performed that job through September 2010 when I moved to the Promotion Development group. Here, I brainstorm with a group of highly knowledgeable and passionate PCH employees to create the sweepstakes contests you love to enter and hope to win! Along with office responsibilities tied to this position, I am a new Prize Patrol member, in fact, the newest member of the PCH Prize Patrol Elite Team. My personality is extremely positive, up-beat, hopeful, warm, and I’m ALWAYS laughing. These traits exemplify what it takes to become a member of this amazing prize award team.
As many of you have guessed, yes, it truly is the most interesting, exciting, touching job I have ever experienced. I don’t think there are many jobs in the world like this and I feel truly blessed to be a part of it. Although I have only been doing this since September, I already have been a part of some unforgettable winning moments. My first PCH Prize Patrol trip was to Las Vegas to award Publishers Clearing House winner Mr. Joe Beane, with a $1 Million SuperPrize – how’s that for an exciting start to a new job?! Not long after I was out giving away yet another million dollar sweepstakes award to Julie Laughlin from Grand Ledge Michigan! Along the way I have been on the road awarding cash prizes ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 and have met such inspiring, sweet and excited Publishers Clearing House winners!
Becoming a new Prize Patrol member at this time is particularly exciting. Publishers Clearing House is promoting its biggest lifetime prize EVER – One Million Dollars A Year For Life! It’s simple to enter the contest online. Go to http://pch.com/ to enter the PCH Sweepstakes today and who knows, you may be seeing me at your door one day with balloons, flowers, champagne and a very Big Check!
Good luck everyone and thank you again for inquiring about little ol’ me! 🙂
