HAPPY EARTH DAY FROM PCH AND OUR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TEAM!

Happy Earth Day, everyone. Are you familiar with Earth Day? Every year on April 22, various events all over the world are held to show support for ecological protection. It’s the world’s largest environmental movement. It’s about protecting our beautiful planet and all the amazing creatures that inhabit it, and PCH celebrates this important day each year.

Did you know that more than 40% of PCH’s profits benefit community organizations like the New York Botanical Garden, Lincoln Center For The Performing Arts, the National Audubon Society, The Alzheimer’s Disease And Related Disorders Association, as well as many others? In addition, PCH works hard at being as green as possible and reducing its social footprint through various recycling and conservation efforts in its offices.

In addition, PCH has a Social Responsibility Team (SRT) led by PCH Sr. Vice President, Wendy Smith. SRT is a group of dedicated employees (including myself) who give their time to help improve the well-being of numerous communities. In 2018, we were fortunate enough to support the following local organizations via monetary and non-financial donations:

The INN
The Book Fairies
Rock & Wrap It Up
National Association of Letter Carriers
Island Harvest
The Salvation
Kid’s Kloset
NY Veterans Administration Medical Center
LI Blood Center
LI Cares and the LI Coalition for the Homeless
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
MOMMAs House
VA Medical Center
Little Shelter Animal Rescue
Almost Home Animal Shelter
Cove Animal Rescue

Pretty incredible, right? I can honestly say that I’m proud to be a part of such a philanthropic team and company. While PCH’s mission is to “entertain, inspire and delight with winning opportunities, games, rewards and personally relevant offers,” it’s also intensely passionate about generating awareness on important causes, giving back to the community and minimizing its impact on the environment.

In short, we love making people happy in every way we can … because for us, making a difference is the biggest “win” of all! Happy Earth Day, everyone, and please tell us how YOU celebrate!
