When Sandra Staudt of Galloway, Ohio opened her door, she was greeted by Prize Patrol and had to make a choice: go on an African safari or accept the cash value for the prize, which was $19,082.94. Sandra, a retired mother of three adult children, didn’t hesitate and chose the cash. “I’m just amazed,” said Sandra, who says she has entered PCH sweepstakes multiple times a day since 2013. With Africa off the table, Sandra says she plans to use the money to refresh her kitchen, which hasn’t been updated since 1960.
