Winning Moment or Sliding Moment for Steven Slater
By now everyone has heard of Steven Slater, the JetBlue flight attendant who opened the inflatable evacuation chute and had his slide (down? or up?) to a level of fame that he never would have imagined when he awoke on August 9. Whether Slater was a hero (standing up for service employees who feel abused by rude customers) or an ordinary guy who irresponsibly exited a flying career that he loved is debatable. But whatever happens, Slater’s life will never be the same.
The same might be said for the next Publishers Clearing House SuperPrize winner – who will get the winning moment of a lifetime on August 31st when the PCH Prize Patrol pulls up and rushes to the door with balloons, roses, champagne and The Big Check! Life will never be the same for that lucky person.
But don’t let me unsettle you would-be winners with the prospect of a media frenzy like you saw for Slater. Yes, the “winning moment” will be shown on TV, and there will be local interest for a few days; but all of that will be celebratory and short-lived. Everyone will realize – happily — that real people really win really big cash prizes at Publishers Clearing House. The winner will be a definite hero (or heroine) for life, and those skeptics will be definite losers because they forfeited their chances of a winning moment by not entering the sweepstakes.
There’s isn’t much time left to enter and win our “$5,000 A Week for Life” Sweepstakes. The entry deadline is August 23rd. So don’t waste a minute.
Click here on this link to pch.com and enter the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes at once. And you can enter every day until the August 23rd deadline to improve your chances of winning.
Wishing you the very best of luck,
