Join the Online Conversation at the PCH Blog and Publishers Clearing House Facebook Fan Page
Recently, my colleague Frank and I attended an Online Marketing Summit (OMS) in San Diego. Our mission was to learn more about social media, such as blogging, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, to be able to better serve YOU, our loyal followers, customers, entrants and game players.
One major conference theme was “joining the online conversation” with your customers about your company and your industry. The PCH Blog and Publishers Clearing House Facebook Fan Page have been around for just over a year now and we’ve recently added a PCH Search & Win Blog and a “Players Reviews” section to the PCH Games site. We’re enjoying hearing your feedback, comments and questions and we hope you’re enjoying sharing them! Tell us your opinion of these sites.
Another take away from the OMS conference is that interesting content is a key to success in social media. Here at the PCH Blog we share a lot of stories about PCH winners, winning moments and PCH Prize Patrol adventures. Some folks like to watch the action as it’s unfolding, so on our Prize Patrol Live site, we give you the opportunity to follow PCH prize award team as they travel around the country to award cash sweepstakes prizes. Have you checked out the PRIZE PATROL LIVE site yet? Let us know if you like it.
Social media channels give us the opportunity to have a two-way conversation with you. We can get to know you better and vice versa. We’ve heard that some people like to know more about what it’s like to be a PCH employee, or how things work behind the scenes, so every now and then we include articles that give you an insider’s view. Are you interested in learning more about PCH? Maybe we can write some articles to respond to your questions – what have you wondered about “life at PCH”?
Oh yeah, did I mention the Online Marketing Summit was in San Diego? Not only did Frank and I get loads of ideas for improvements and upgrades to our PCH Blog and Publishers Clearing House Facebook Fan Page as well as other PCH social media efforts, but we also got treated to some fabulous California sunshine. Check out these two photos taken from the hotel where the conference was held – it was beautiful!
Well, after the conference we had to face reality again as we flew home to an East Coast “snow-i-cane” and were soon digging out from under 18 inches of the white stuff … but, enough about us.
What we really want to do is ask what YOU have to say about our PCH Blog, Publishers Clearing House Facebook Fan Page, PRIZE PATROL LIVE site and other PCH online properties. Tell us how we’re doing, tell us which sites you visit regularly and please share any suggestions you may have for topics you’d like to read about.
Thanks for participating in our online conversation!
Sincerely,
Deborah Holland
PCH Executive Vice President
