A $10 Million Missed Opportunity

Last Updated: October 4, 2013

Did you hear about Jim Furyk, the pro golfer who overslept on August 25th, missed his tee-off time, and thereby lost his chance to win $10 million in the FedEx Cup tournament?

“I’m beside myself” said Furyk as he arrived beltless, sockless, with his shoes untied at the golf course – alas a few minutes too late under PGA Tour rules.

It reminds me of a time some years ago when a man was mailed the winning Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes number that would have won him $10 million; but he didn’t follow the rules that included sending his entry back to Publishers Clearing House. So the poor guy forfeited a $10 Million SuperPrize – which was awarded to someone else!

When we ask people how they’d feel if that happened to them, they say, “I’d be devastated” or even “I’d slit my wrists!”

Well, let’s not go overboard! But the point is: if you want to win you must enter!

Since 2009, Doris Gray won our “$5,000 A Week for Life” SuperPrize, and Joseph Beame, Stephanie Gornichec and Marilyn Ragin won Million Dollar SuperPrizes from PCH. They wouldn’t have won if they had been “asleep at the switch” and had not entered the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes.

So wake up, America! You can’t sleep through this one and expect to come up a winner! Click here on this link to pch.com and enter at once. You wouldn’t want to be like Jim and end up with a $10 Million missed opportunity!

Good luck.
