Back To School Recipes With PCHSearch&Win!

Last Updated: September 8, 2019

It’s that time of year again, BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON!

Whether you’re a mom, dad, grand-mom, grand-dad, aunt or uncle, this one’s for you! The little ones are bright and growing, and right now they’re gearing up to learn and become their best selves. There are lots of ways to help, but one really important way is by making sure they eat well. As this is the recipe blog, I’m going to find some wonderful back to school recipes on PCHSearch&Win that the kids will love.

Let’s be honest, we know what the kids like. Let’s not find those recipes we know that they’ll try to trade with their best friend.

First on the list is a Pizza Crescent Ring. This is something that the entire family would love, and it can be done for dinner or for lunch. It’s a great dish to make the night before and pop in the microwave the next day! So is Skillet Chicken Lasagna. Lasagna has never been this easy!

We know how much the kids love their chicken nuggets. Instead of buying nuggets, why not try making them at home! It’s great to know exactly what you’re giving your kids to eat. I found a delicious Panko-Crusted Chicken Nugget recipe on PCHSearch&Win. This is a really quick and easy recipe, especially if you cut the chicken into pieces in advance.

How about Chicken Salad accompanied by your child’s favorite bread? Or, you can try Sesame-Pecan Chicken Strips. I’m sure you and your little one would love this! You can find all these great recipes on PCHSearch&Win.

Hey, why not step up your sandwich game? On PCHSearch&Win you can find great Sandwich Shapers with your little one’s favorite shapes and animals. Don’t stop there, you can also find some great sandwich ideas so that the kids will never get bored. Don’t forget to throw in their favorite fruits and snacks!

If you need help finding the best lunch containers, lunch bags and anything else you’ll need, just check out PCHSearch&Win.

Good luck this school year!

P.S. Thanks to all of you for responding to Marybeth’s August 13th blog question, “What Would You Cook For The Prize Patrol? Share Your Recipe!” It was hard to choose just one dish from your delicious-sounding suggestions — but we’re going with a recipe from New Mexico fan Anna B., her all-time favorite traditional Portuguese treat, Biscoitos Cookies! I found this super-easy recipe using PCHSearch&Win (although unlike you, I’m not eligible to win a Free PCH Prize with my search). Enjoy!

Biscoitos
3 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
3 eggs
8 tablespoons butter, melted
1 egg for brushing (or you can use milk)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add the 3 eggs and melted butter and mix thoroughly. Pinch off small (2 Tbsp.) balls of dough, roll them into logs, then overlap the ends, creating bows. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet, brush with beaten egg and bake for 15 minutes, until cookies are brown. Remove from oven and let cool.
